I came here for a conference and arrived early, as I had some Teams meetings I needed to take and was hoping they could check me in early. I’m Titanium with Bonvoy and only Gold with HH and I prefer Marriott because I can check in anytime of day, even early in the morning, as long as a room’s available. They even let you do that on the Bonvoy app. But Hilton’s app only allows check-in starting at 3PM, which is very unreasonable for business travelers who have to schedule a work day around this.||So, arriving to a condescending check-in process wasn’t helpful. The gentleman who I first talked to around 12:30PM when I got there asked my name, as if they might have a room available. He looked and said my room wasn’t ready. I said I don’t care which room as long as I could get into one and he quickly replied no rooms were ready without looking again. Well, if he knew no rooms were available at all, why look the first time? Now, again back to Marriott, when this happens there, they generally pre-check me in and let housekeeping know and then say they’ll call or test me when a room comes available. No offer of that here. So I left for a couple of hours and took calls and meetings from the car and came back around 2:35 and a lady, the front desk supervisor helped me this time. She did the exact same thing the guy did, including when I asked if any rooms were available saying none were. I asked how that’s possible since it’s 2:35 and they needed to start checking people in at 3PM. So at 3, all the rooms were magically going to be ready? I asked if she could check and she said she would and it would take a while (again, not the case), so I said I’d wait. She quickly checked on the radio with housekeeping and they said a room was ready and she checked me in. She was polite, but I felt the tone and attitude of both were condescending. Let me say that I completely understand that this was a big conference and the hotel would be sold out, but people check out starting very early in the morning. Housekeeping needs to jump on those rooms ASAP! For instance, I left this hotel on my last day around 5AM.||They also charge for parking here which makes no sense, as they’re in between a large mall and a shopping center with lots of very wide open parking spaces nearby. Typically properties charge for parking here there’s little available nearby space. ||As for the rest of the stay, it was nice. The room was fresh and clean. Bed was comfy. TV kind of was a pain as it had no sleep timer. The property itself is decent. I’ve been to many conferences here at this property, but this was my first time staying here and might be my last, as there are Marriott properties very close by and those have much better...
