A seemingly good experience until I ask to get my measurements taken. The employee there tell me it's free for measurements if I'm ordering the same day. Then she proceeds to tell me it will be $25 otherwise. I asked if the $25 would go toward my dress whenever I did order. Her answer was no. I mean it's more about the principle than the money. Everyone can't order same day all the time. So you're telling me that no matter the case, the "penalty" is $25 no matter the case?! The situation is I'm active duty Army, so I traveled miles away to come get fitted for a wedding. The bride had some things go wrong at another bridal shop and her wedding is fast approaching. So I decided to help her out while I was in town and try on a few dresses so she could see how they look and what she likes. However, the other bridesmaids, who live locally, haven't come yet. So, the bride has yet to make a final decision. So I either have to come back in town to get measured with everyone else, or spend time out of my day going to get someone else to measure me, or just say the heck with it all. Is the goal to pressure everyone to make a decision the day of so you can sell dresses quicker, or is it to charge everyone who can't make up their minds so either way you...
Read moreI was in there for a total of 20 minutes. When I walked the one of the first things the girl that was helping me said to me was my ring was “sooo cute because it looks vintage” (you know the mean girl tone) and how she just “loves how it’s not one big diamond!” (Enter the same tone) and I showed them my bridal inspiration and we went in the changing room. They also don’t let you know before hand you’re not allowed to put on the dresses yourself, so I hope you’re comfortable being naked infront of people you don’t know! And I’ll put my inspo picture in, but one of the other workers told me “I just love G*psy dresses they soooo get a bad rap!” First of all that’s a slur, and that’s not a good way to describe what I thought was my dream dress to me since she definitely meant it in a derogatory way. And definitely not a good sales tactic. Both of the workers I had interactions with just seemed very fake and it was giving mean girls. I really do not recommend going in here unless you’re comfortable being naked around people you said 2 sentences too, or you’re okay with mean girl tones. However, it’s a cute...
Read moreI bought my wedding dress here in 2021. Gorgeous dresses, however mine cost $2,400 and they recommended an alteration lady to me, “Wanda Roberts,” and she charged me $375 to do alterations on my dress (which were very minimal). Wanda’s “alteration shop” was out of her home. That should have been my first sign to run away. My dress reeked of marijuana forever afterwards no matter what we did to it. On my wedding day I reeked of it. $100 dry cleaning, Downy fabric spray, nothing got the smell out. I had to call Wanda for months asking when she would be able to get to my dress and do the alterations, and then afterwards I was self conscious on my wedding day because she did NOT do the back of my dress how I wanted but by that point it was 2 days before my wedding. My entire back showed my entire wedding day plus it’s in all of our pictures and videos forever. Shame on Happily Ever After for recommending such a horrendous alteration shop. $3000 for a dress and alterations, you’d think they’d recommend...
