This mall was definently a disappointment. The whole mall might have had 10 stores that were open. And opened I mean something in a space. 90% of the stores had been shut down. The Dillard's had a good variety though. And didn't make it up the escalator. But this Dillard's is probably THE most expensive Dillard's I have ever been in before. VS was large in sz. But as we got in we noticed about half of it was closed as well. Looked like storage in that area. They were also very pricey. The Bath and Body works we were impressed with. Lots of items we had never seen or heard of before. And not over priced. Actually had a couple of good deals. A store that neither of us had ever seen or heard of before Rainbow was the last stop. It had lots of very cute clothes for the whole family. And very good prices. I had several items I was very interested in. When I was ready for the fitting room was told by the very strange lady that worked there that they didn't have one. ..?? So, I can't try on the clothes I was interested In and live almost 3 hours away. I didn't have plans to be back in Shreveport in the next 30 60 days to return them if they didn't fit. So, I don't buy items I can't return unless I know it would fit, etc. Now might I add. There was a fitting room in clear view. But was just told that they are no allowed to let customers use them... I still don't understand that at all. The best part of this mall was the eatery. The last stop was Piccadilly. YEEEAAHHH!! Haven't had Piccadilly in a couple of years. The one where I luve was shut down over a year ago. And it was AWESOME. Twisted like Piccadilly. However it had REALLY went up in their prices as well. They no longer have the dilly dish. So, most is all priced separately. So, 4 2 people eating what would have been a typical Dilly Dish entree, 2 veggies, and a bread. We both had a coke/ tea and each a piece of pie. It was $45.00. But very good. And we...
Read moreJust visited this place. I really wanted to like it. With malls in their current state, it was nice to see one that seemed to be doing ok. I went inside and it was very nice and seemed moderately busy. Seeing a type of establishment I haven't been to in years and seeing stores that I didn't know even still existed was very exciting for me. Naturally I wanted to take a few pictures and show friends what a nice place it was. Well, apparently that's a no-no. A mall security guard came up to me and told me I can't take pictures there. That wasn't a good first impression to get from this place, or any place. Needless to say I left and won't be returning. I'm so sorry mall st Vincent, but weird nonsensical rules like this is part of the reason people don't shop at malls anymore and will eventually do this one in as well. Might want to lighten up a bit. It's a mall not a slaughterhouse. I gave 3 stars because it's still a nice mall despite its...
Read moreI am saddened to see a place that was once thriving slowly shutting down. I was told rent there is actually higher than Youree street store fronts. No wonder why they are losing so many great stores to the strip center. There are a few gems still fighting the good fight however. Stores like Journey's brand stores, V S, Bath and Body Works, Dillard's, Footlocker's brand stores, and Hibbett sports, are all functioning at a 5 star level in a 1 star mall. They are NOT the reason for my poor rating. In fact, normally a place like this would not be worth a rating at all from me. Why fight for something set on failing anyways. Yet due to stores like above mentioned, struggling to hang in, I feel like a review is necessary to show people that the mall may suck but not to give up on the few great stores who are still there. I can only hope someone snaps to it before those few have no more options and disappear too. Like I said,...
