Desert Lanes Bowling Center — Local services in Sierra Vista

Paid $55 for my family of 6 to play 2 games of bowling they put us on lane 24 at the end which is fine but only one sofa that we all fit on. Then they put a second family on lane 23. There was a sofa and two chairs between lane 23 and 24 meaning 5 seats. They tried to shove 13 people into those two lanes. The customers for 23 were extremely upset and rude, rightfully so the people that ran the place couldn’t care less about how packed that spot was. Very dissatisfied, was a waste of money. I went to talk to the employee at the desk and he said if the people on lane 23 don’t like it they can choose to wait in line but couldn’t care less about the awkward position he put me and my family in. This was the first military bowling alley I’ve ever had such horrible service. They ruined a night out for me and my family. Will not be returning and DO NOT RECOMMEND! Recently went there after not bowling for 7 months because of the lanes. They only oil them for league. And the other lanes can sit for weeks before getting re oiled. They recently put in a new scoring system instead of fix the broken pin setters, the broken lanes, and not oiling the lanes. My plastic ball can go from one side to the other with our problem. The only way to play is straight up the middle with 0 spin. The league takes up many more lanes then they other wise need. Only having two bowlers on each lane taking up over half the alley. The approaches are not buffed for an even slide and even cause many bowlers to fall when trying. Either because of the instant stick or to slippery. If you want to go have fun it's fine. If you want to do any more than that go to Tucson bowlero. The people who work behind the counters get paid more than the bowling alleys budget...

Really disappointed with this place. If you're in a league than I guess it's great. If you're a family trying to enjoy a night of bowling then make sure you get there as soon as they open to get a lane to bowl. Tried two nights in a row and wasn't able to get a lane, I'll never take my family to this place again.

Side note: do you think your employees can take their break and eat their food in a break room so that I don't have to watch them dribble and spill their food out of their mouths when trying to explain why there aren't any...
