My wife and I purchased an LG 75" 4K TV set on Feb 13, 2018. We also bought an LG 4K HD UP970 DVD Player ($249). We indicated to Clerk #1 we wanted protection plans for both and the receipt shows "YES" for both. That DVD Player failed and we returned it on Feb 15. Clerk #2 had us simply pick up another of the same units for a straight-across exchange, but failed to return our original receipt to us (no problem as I had scanned it for my records). That unit also failed. We returned to the PX on Mar 20 with failed unit #2 - that Clerk (#3) informed us we had to call the "Protection Plan" people, handed me a pamphlet with an 800 number. Today, Mar 21, I called that toll-free number and was told we didn't have the protection plan numbers on our receipt, and that we were to return to the PX to obtain them. At 09:00am, I called the Ft. Huachuca PX number more that TWO DOZEN times until almost 09:20am - having received an auto-message each time stating the PX wasn't opened. We drove there yet again and explained this all to Clerk #4. She stated she would sell us a protection plan right then and we could contact them for a refund. However, she had a Manager come over who nixed that option and stated we had NO protection plan at all and would have to call LG and initiate a manufacturer's warranty. Not a word was said from this Manager concerning the errors made by their people which caused this fiasco. I have never in my lifetime been a witness to such incompetence. Clerk #1 screwed this transaction up from the beginning and we were led to believe we had protection plans for both the TV and DVD player (remember - the receipt said we did). Clerks #2 and #3 could have recognized and fixed this problem from the beginning but failed to do so and complicated the issue further. Then my wife and I are blown off by a "Manager" whose answer to the errors of their clerical staff is to refer me to the manufacturer. The Ft. Huachuca PX personnel are at fault here, not me and my wife, and we shouldn't have to shoulder any responsibility for being refunded for faulty merchandise and clerical errors. I was internally very angry at the totality of this issue, quietly told the 'Manager" to keep the $249, tore the receipt up and left the store. My blood pressure and health are worth more to me than compounded incompetence and indifference. JCH,...
Read moreI can always find great deals on the clearance racks. Except last time, I noticed that the clearance price was the same as the original price. A clearance tag was just placed over it. Some clearance prices were 2 or 3 cents different than the original price. Please don't insult us that way. The regular prices are usually a great deal on most items, and I appreciate the savings. I was shopping for children's clothes and noticed a lot of Old Navy that's discounted 20%. Old Navy prices are quite high to begin with, so the discount doesn't count for much. You need to give the young families with children a chance to better their lives, and not have to spend so much for clothes that's used for only a few months before they grow out of it. I saw $15 tottler jeans and sweatshirts and wondered how our soldiers can dress their children without a credit card that they can't pay off each month. How about getting some good clothing without the labels we pay extra for? They need affordable clothes, not designer labels. Retirees don't need the extra cost either. I appreciate that you have Nike, Under Armour, etc for the soldiers, I think you can do better on the discounts. Don't get our soldiers in debt when they're admirably serving...
Read moreFairly upset with how the 8SEPT2018 free gun/rifle draw went. It was specifically stated that in order to obtain a ticket you must be a government I.D. card holder, of legal age to receive the weapon, and present during the drawing in order to win a/ final prize. In this case, an underage minor was holding the winning ticket for the rifle. Once presented, she was told she couldn't receive the weapon, so she left to go find her mother, who wasn't present. After waiting a full minute the store associate stated to the waiting crowd that the winner isn't present, hence forth a new ticket would be drawn. Twenty seconds later the mother and child comes around the corner. The mother presents her I.D. card and was deemed able to receive the prize. Bystanders who were waiting for the re-draw were shocked, confused and upset. The store associate allowed this individual break the terms for winning. This is unfair as approximately thirty people waited, some waited for two hours for the drawing to even start. I hope this review gives customers some insight on the work ethic, integrity and overall fairness/ loyalty to its customers at the Fort...
