I have been going back and forth the last few days on whether or not I wanted to leave this review. I'm not one that likes to leave poor reviews but I feel like this is one that's much needed. Problem #1 He is going to try to swindle you, lie to you, and do anything he can to get as much money from you as possible. About 2 or 3 weeks back I came in to look at their guitar hero guitars beacause they are incredibly pricey online. While looking at his guitars I saw that the PS2 and PS3 the ones that are the cheapest on eBay and everywhere else that go for $30, $40 Max he has listed for prices of like $150 or more. So after realizing I don't need all three I came across and the fact that he didn't have an Xbox 360 one I brought one to him to offer to sell it. Every function on this guitar works. The whammy, the strum, tilt function, I mean this is a RedOctane Xbox 360 Band Guitar Hero Wireless Cherry Controller. This man who sells his guitars for $200+ wanted to offer me $35 cash. I want you guys to remember that this same guitar goes for $60 to $80 on eBay when it doesn't even work just for the parts. And then try to lie to me and give me this schpeel about how oh well I'm only going to be able to make 10 or 15 dollars off of it. Guy looked at me like he hit gold when he first got this guitar and then wanted to offer $35 to me. But here is the biggest problem and why I would never go to the store. #2 My biggest issue, I came here on Monday looking for an Xbox 360 Kinect power cord. He told me he for sure had it but it was in the back of the store it's kind of packed if I could wait till tomorrow morning he'd make sure to get through there tonight and I could get it from him, perfect. So I come back in the morning and he says I'm so sorry I didn't have the time to get back there my bad but I can definitely get back there by morning if you come back tomorrow. Fine by me I get it life happens. I come back on Wed and what do you know same excuse. Except for this time he's starting to be rude to me and I'm getting frustrated because he's the one telling me he's going to have it ready. So I get the same run around and I come back on Thurs and of course he tells me the same thing. Except this time he tells me how about you give me your name and number so you don't show up right when we open and I don't waste your time and I'll call you in morning when I grab it out and you can come get it. I'm getting more annoyed. I can order it online for eight dollars and free delivery I just don't want to wait a week and a half. So Friday morning comes noon comes no call comes I decide you know what I'm going to go check if it's not there I'll just buy it online. I show up. He's very rude to me acts very agitated then goes on about how he's just so busy he has way too much going on but that if I just wait until Mon what he does on Sat and Sun is go through everything and it'll be sure to have it for me by mon. Which had he of just told me this the first day I came in I could have ordered it and had it. I told him it's okay I can order it online it's not a big deal. Well then it was no no let me look I'll show you what it looks like back here but I'm pretty sure I have a box of cords right by the door let me just look through it and see if maybe I can find one. Grabs the box out third or fourth cord finds is the one I need. (Then AGAIN he makes another snarky comment "I guess persistence does pay off") like dude. I kept telling you I'll get it elsewhere you INSISTED YOUD have it the next day. So literally in a matter of 10 seconds was all it took for him to grab the product I need. I bought it. Because obviously I didn't want to wait and I was tired of it. But it will never happen again. From here forward I will just go to ebay. Not to mention the last issue is the man is pretty unknowledgeable he told me MULTIPLE Wrong facts about the games and controllers. If your from Tucson, phoenix, surrounding areas. Just save...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of stumbling upon a hidden gem in Sierra Vista— Rage Quit is a local video game store that truly captures the heart and soul of the gaming community. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that this wasn’t just another game shop. The owner’s passion for the hobby radiates throughout the store, and his deep knowledge of video games—both modern and retro—is truly impressive. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely cares about the experience they’re creating for others, but that’s exactly what he’s doing.
What struck me most was his commitment to building a space where the community can come together, connect, and share in the joy of gaming. In a world where digital transactions have largely replaced face-to-face interactions, this store feels like a warm and welcoming throwback to the days when gaming was about more than just playing—it was about camaraderie and connection.
The selection of retro games brought a nostalgic smile to my face, transporting me back to simpler times. It’s like stepping into a time machine, surrounded by classics that defined an era. Whether you’re a long-time gamer or just discovering the roots of the hobby, there’s something truly special about seeing these relics of gaming history.
Adding to the store’s charm is the fact that the owner is a veteran who not only supports veterans and the military but also carries that same sense of duty and dedication into his business. It’s inspiring to see someone use their platform to uplift and support others, building a community that goes beyond just commerce.
Though I was just passing through town, this store left a lasting impression on me. Anytime I find myself in Sierra Vista, I’ll be sure to stop by—not just to browse the incredible selection but to chat with the owner and soak in the atmosphere he’s so lovingly created. If you’re a gamer, a collector, or simply someone who appreciates genuine human connection, do yourself a favor and visit this place. It’s more than just a store—it’s a celebration of gaming...
