Well....I am not "into" Organic everything because I believe, strongly, much of it is misrepresented and, therefore, a rip-off. Neverthele@, if you want organic, vegetarian/vegan options, this is your store. Their produce is, usually, in good shape. Not as great a variety as at a supermarket, but still varied. Prices are HIGH on MOST items, so be prepared for that. But, for me, for certain things I want--for example, dairy-free yogurt. Which is delicious. I get at this store. There is a dairy option, made with honey, too. Tummy-friendly. 😊
Also, bulk items such as nuts, oats, bran, etc., are available. Soaps, lotions, supplements, of course. Toilet paper, PT, dish soap (organic) laundry soap (organic too. I have used. Like it.) Coffee beans, etc. You can buy too, a hot cup of jo, or tea, to drink on the go (NO ESPRESSO/LATTE'S, just to clarify.) Friendly but frequently changing (except 1 or two) staff. Always clean. The co-op DOES HAVE A BATHROOM, for CUSTOMERS!! Yay! (Ya...
Read moreThe Sierra Vista Food Co-op is for everyone, I thought it was only for members when I first learned of it in 2015. As I have been shopping there over the years, I have learned so many things about the Co-op and health/wellness overall. I order bulk, and because I sometimes don't need a full bulk special order, I have friends I split a bulk special order with so we can both get the great quality and we don't have to worry about having too much. I also love the fact we can ask for specific things we like and the staff will look to see if they can order it, even when it isn't something they usually carry. How awesome is that. And oh, get me started on the staff, they are ah-mazing!!! Don't take my word for it, pop in for a visit and a...
Read moreI was quite disappointed this morning. I had locked my e-trike at the designated bike rack. Next to the bike rack was also the electric co-ops green rack. Then someone from the store asked if it was my bike. I assumed there was the usual interest in what an e-three-wheeler was all about. No, that wasn't it. I was told to move the bike because the store uses that space to keep outdoors its shopping carts. I did express my amazement that was the procedure. Sure, I moved the bike. But what message is being sent to customers about our choice to bike it? Where else were we to lock up our bikes? This entire experience was quite a stunner. In shock I went into the store and bought two items. I won't be...
