Just left this establishment. I gave it an honest chance even after the lady taking the order was rude for no reason. Ended up getting beef/broccoli, catfish and a side of hush puppies (extra $3). Catfish was decent but had an odd smell...even for fish. Beef and broccoli was sad (the beef was extremely thin and EXTREMELY dry and smelled a little spoiled). The part that really irritates me is that the hush puppies (which she made sure to tell me I had to pay extra to get those as a side) were literally hard as rock and burnt.

I came here several years ago and it was perfect...not sure what happened but customer service and properly cooked food is not too much to ask for. I came when they first opened for lunch and there was nobody else there. So there was no rush...not busy...no reason to have such a nasty attitude and nasty food...especially right outside of...

This place is by far the worst BBQ experience I’ve ever had. They cut the brisket with the grain, rendering it inedible because it was so chewy. To make it worse, it was sliced thinly like deli meat and covered it in a disgusting bbq sauce. I’m almost certain the Mac-n-cheese was some rendition of boxed Mac-n-cheese with absolutely no seasoning at all. Icing on the cake was yesterday’s stale jalapeño cornbread that was so dry I was forced to drink my entire fountain drink to wash down a single bite. I wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemies. It was so bad, it was almost comical…I thought I was being punk’d for a minute. I kept waiting for Ashton Kutcher to come creeping out from the kitchen. I ended up trashing the entire plate, minus the one bite of each item I took. Just go across the street to 143 Street Tacos, they at least know...

Look at the recent reviews before you go to this restaurant. It seems like this restaurant may have been good at one point, but it’s pretty awful now. We made the mistake of trying this restaurant just based on the overall 4 star average. However, I truly believe this place needs to be shut down. The whole group I ate with got sick from the food.

Pros: fried okra was pretty good, sweet tea is good, waffle was fine, restaurant atmosphere was nice.

Cons: we were served raw chicken, the oil our food was fried in was obviously old and left a very bad taste in the mouth, corn bread was awful almost like they forgot an ingredient, Mac & cheese was microwave food, coleslaw was unseasoned, meat was poor quality and completely soaked in sauce, everyone in my group of 3 got sick after eating,...
