Normally I love shopping at @kohls and have received great customer care however that was not the case yesterday. I was shopping at the Simi Valley, ça location and had tried to purchase a sweater and a flannel shirt as well as several shopping bags to use for transporting stockings for foster children - since I had the 40% off mystery coupon. After I finished checking out I was checking my receipt because I thought the total seemed kind of low and saw that he had not included my sweater. I returned immediately but he was just finishing up with the next customer. As she was preparing to leave I asked him if he had the black sweater and it was then that he realized that the one he had knocked down and given to next customer was really the one I had tried to purchase. She also had bought a black sweater so she ended up with both. He then proceeded to call a manager over to find out what to do because she now needed to return the additional sweater and then I needed to purchase it. After waiting they returned with her return receipt but when I then said that I had the 40% off they said the best they could do was 35% since that was highest amount “in the register “. While I realize that it’s not a huge amount of different price wise it is still a difference. They said that there would be a new mystery coupon today (10/15) so they would hold it at the register with my name on it and I could see if I received the 40% and come back to purchase it. I did return with the new 40% today and waited in line to ask for the item being held only to be told that I would have to go to back of store to customer service to try to find it. I ended up just going to the rack and finding another and then went back up to register yet again to find an even longer line.
Normally, I wouldn’t have been upset about this mistake had they taken care of it then and there. But telling me that, even though it was their mistake, I couldn’t receive my discount and would have to return was irritating. And then to return and be told it wasn’t there as I had been previously told just made matters worse. I don’t know if my order might have been enough for kohls cash but it definitely wasn’t after having to purchase separately.

   Read moreThere needs to be a better system in place to return online items. I ordered 7 items online and received 2 of them first. The first two items were thrown in a bag with no invoice. The rest of my order was neatly packaged and had an invoice. When I got to the store I explained to the employee that some items were sent together and others were not. All one order though! She was flustered to say the least. She quickly did my invoice items then asked for the credit card used for the others. She told me impatiently that she could not find the invoice thru the credit card. What?!?! That's what I used online. So with a line of even more impatient people waiting, she asked me to find my order email. Done. She typed in the " order number " and found the items. Out the door I go. I get home and notice the order number is the same as my invoice they sent with the other neatly packed items. So why could she not just have used that?!?!?! Why did she make me go thru my email to find the EXACT order number that my invoice had?!?.
If stores carried more sizes, I would shop in store vs online. But this store literally has nothing in my size. And now I'm realizing online orders are a bit of a hassle...
   Read moreI had to exchange some Nike shoes that had fallen apart. I didn't have the receipt. The customer service lady was able to look up my phone number. See that I purchased them here and then told me how to go about getting the new ones or exchanged.. Then I went over to the shoe department to pick out a new pair of shoes and I just I guess I got giant feet cuz they're hard to find my size. Anyhow, there's a woman named Susanna that works here. She was a great help and she stuck with me for 10 minutes looking for those shoes. There were other people were bugging her too. She answered there questions pointed them in the right direction and she stuck with me all at the same time.. I don't know that I would have found the shoes without her help. This woman Susanna. She's a credit to the store. She's great. I haven't had customer service like that and I can't remember. They should give her a raise, make her a manager. They should do something to make sure they keep a woman like that. Working here cuz she cared and it showed it's not normal now. Not these...
