I want to offset some of these unbelievably negative reviews on Alans Christmas Trees. I have bought trees at Alans for more that 10 years, and I have always been extremely happy with the trees, wreaths and especially the experience. It should be common sense that a family owned tree lot cannot compete with the prices of the large retailer, nor should they. Most people don’t understand that a family owned tree lot has to pay thousands of dollars in advance for the trees, freight, equipment, light bill & labor. I am personally thankful and more than willing to pay extra for a Christmas Tree at Alans rather than going to a big retailer that simply uses trees as a draw to sell other items. Their lot is set up and displayed where you can actually see all around the trees. The large retailers don’t even have to pay for their trees until after the season is over. This is the typical scenerio of the big guys eating up the little guys, and I will always support the little guys. Alans Christmas Trees gets 5...
Read moreNice staff, but make sure you hold onto your yellow receipt that the man outside gives you so they honor the price you agreed too. I agreed to $65, but when I went to cash out the cashier took the yellow receipt and told me the total of $110 which included a 6% tax. This ment the tree cost $105 instead of the $65 which brought my total from what would have been $81.80 with a 10% tip($10.50 cause I try to be an honestly good customer) to a total of$121.80.. Not wanting to disappoint my kids and the tree being cut already, I paid the bill. However this is a friendly warning⚠️ Don't have anything done to the tree until your price is honored... Though we tried something new this year, we won't be back. When it comes to buying live Christmas trees I'm sticking to the Big stores like Lowes, instead of...
Read moreOur family has been coming to Alan’s Christmas trees for years. I love they get shipments when they are need them, not several months before there needed. The staff is very friendly and helpful. In the past our kids love feeling like they cut their own tree. Where can you go and get this personal attention? It bothers me people write bad reviews when I’ve never seen this after 25 years with this tree lot. I’m really confused about some of the comments. As long as I’ve been buying a tree we ask the salesman the price. We pick out our Christmas Tree. They give us a sheet of paper with the agreed price. The cashier asked us the tag color & price before it was rang up. They have never been dishonest! As far as prices everything has gone up. Every time I go to any store I’m shocked. We will see...
