The groomer has awful customer service. They will try and give you the wrong dog!

I made an appt for 11am. I have a small dog and he had a few mats. Cathy the Groomer said she would call when he was done. She didn’t say during drop off that the grooming would take a longer time than her usual time frame (about 3 hours) and that there would be an additional cost. After waiting for 4 hours I didn’t hear anything from her. I live an hour away from Cathy’s shop and I sat at a small coffee shop in the area to do work while waiting on her to finish my dog. When I arrived she brought the wrong dog out. I told her that wasn’t my dog. She said which one is yours? The gray one? No I said, the white one. I’m not sure how she is allowed to mix up people’s dogs.

Then she came back and said I said I would call you. I said yes and that was 4 hours ago, is my dog not ready? I live an hour away and have been waiting on you. She started to say that there were many mats and that it takes longer. I asked her why she didn’t mention this during drop off. She said I could let her finish or drop him off another day. She went to the back and finished him then came back (which took 30 more minutes). She charged additional for mats which I paid. I told her that I didn’t think I would spend my entire day waiting on her to groom. She starts yelling and says that she goes off her schedule not mine. She screams I’m a one woman show. I said well maybe you should consider how long it takes you to groom when you set up your booking and offer more spaced out times. I told her I had been waiting for hours. Then she screams I don’t care!! Her coworker then asks her to take the conversation outside. I pay her and she says next time don’t bring your dog matted. I told her there will not be a next time and that I’m not coming to her again. Then 10 min after I leave she calls me and says my dog will be ready at 4:45. I told her that I already picked up my dog. That lets me know she has no means of keeping up with the dogs and who they belong to.

My experience with Bark, Park & Stay has been nothing short of incredible. The staff has been amazing and attentive, the facility is clean, the prices are unbeatable and there are cameras to watch your pups play, which is always a plus! I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff, though. Our puppy was scheduled for a temperament test one Monday but two days prior we had a medical emergency that led to a multi-day hospital stay and the manager so compassionately allowed my puppy to come in early so he didn't sit in a crate all day. It was incredibly helpful and she was so kind, supportive and warm, it brought me to tears. When I arrived, I was greeted with a much needed comforting hug, despite never having met. On top of the generosity and accommodating culture, our puppy was clearly in good hands - he left so happy (and exhausted, which was much needed!). He's gone back multiple times and gets so excited, he eagerly wines and trots right in. The staff have greeted him and sent him off with such warmth and love and he always leaves a happy, tired boy who can't even make it the few minutes it takes to get home before falling asleep in the car. I have to say that the Bark N Lounge is wonderful place to have your furbaby to be watched for the day or for a long stay while you are out of town. The manager Brenda and her team are so nice, dedicated, and show such love and compassion for all the furbabies they take care of. Our dog Hank has been treated so well every time we have taken him there. He stays days at a time when we go out of town. We can even see him on camera and see how he is doing while we are away. We even request that he be bathed and toenails clipped before picking him up and they do that the day he is coming home so that he is fresh and clean. Hank gets a bit overwhelmed with the big group of dogs so he stays in a special area that is a bit quite and not so overwhelming when he stays there. They take him out and let him run around out back and he gets to have some one on one time with whom is taking care of him. Even when the weather is bad they are right there with him.
