I see they removed my review, so I'll put a brief one back once again:
A few years ago, I brought my Western Star there, because I hit an adult Oryx on US54: seeing how this is supposed to be a Western Star dealer, I made the mistake of thinking that they'd go over the entire tractor, to make sure they found all of the damage that may have been done. (I was doing 70mph when I hit it - both my tractor and empty trailer caught air...luckily, I didn't lay it down)
They replaced & painted the hood and a headlight assembly, the front bumper, and a steer tire, and called it good.
I'd just had the kingpins done, new steer tires, and an alignment, not 3 weeks before this happened, and while they have the equipment to do a 5-axle alignment, NOBODY CHECKED MY TRACTOR!
In fact, the steer tire was replaced by a mobile tire guy that didn't even balance the new tire! This dealer claimed to have a full service tire and alignment shop, but it seems they have nobody working it!
They charged my insurance company over $14K for what little they did do, while making me sit for 3 weeks, only to find when I was told my truck was ready, the U-bolts on the left side of my steer axle (the impact side) were loose.
THEY NEVER CHECKED MY TRACTOR AT ALL!!!
Since they touched my truck, further damage that they didn't bother to look for, included:
All engine mounts Right side rear mount bracket 2 air brake lines on tractor, both on the left side 1 air brake line on the trailer, also on the left side Air dryer housing was cracked (mounted on left side of chassis) Shock absorbers on left side of tractor were all broken
Then, there were the broken bumper mounting brackets.
I know there was more damage that they didn't bother with, but I can't recall everything off the top of my head, though I did let the insurance company know. While they suggested taking the truck back I refused, based on what these crooks already lied about doing.
This place is all about taking your money, and nothing else, and I will NEVER go back there again.
If somebody there hates my negative review so much - tough! You should have done everything right the first time, like you're...
Read moreGreat people and great service! We were passing through on an important load and they were able to get to us immediately to fix a sensor malfunction that could have shut us down if not fixed. Our truck is only 3 months old and we've had this problem 3 times, but they looked closer and figured out the other shops replaced the wrong sensor! They got the correct one replaced and we are back on the road after just a couple of hours! Thanks for taking the extra time to do it right!
Update: the problem came back before we got across town. We were able to finish the load anyway and get home and take it to the shop in KC for a couple of days and they did the same thing and this time seems to be working. Crazy sensors! Still, Truck Enterprises was very helpful and we...
Read moreSergio the service manager is a major reason why I bring my truck to this place and not anywhere else. I had dealt with Freightliner Doggett on Horizon blvd only to keep getting ripped off and where they had horrible service. So I decided to come to this place and at 1st was a little hesitant because I was told they are part of Freightliner but they are completely different when it comes to customer service and honesty. This guy Sergio is amazing in keeping you updated on repairs and explaining the issues with your truck! Thank you for having amazing, hard working and dedicated employees like Sergio! As a million miler driver I appreciate...
