Hurts to give a low star for great stay overall however: Disturbing Poolside Experience — Serious Safety & Legal Concerns
As a loyal Marriott guest, I was extremely disappointed by my recent experience at this location. While the hotel itself appears to be one of the better properties in the area, the environment at the swimming pool was unacceptable—and potentially unlawful.
During our visit, we witnessed open alcohol consumption, couples engaged in lewd and inappropriate behavior, and extremely loud music that included racial slurs and offensive language. This was not only offensive but made the area unsafe and completely unsuitable for families with children.
Several apparent violations of Texas law occurred or were permitted to continue unchecked: • Public Intoxication (Texas Penal Code §49.02) – Intoxicated individuals were openly drinking poolside. • Disorderly Conduct (TPC §42.01) – Vulgar music using racial slurs, lewd behavior, and loud noise created a hostile and offensive environment. • Indecent Exposure (TPC §21.08) – Certain guests displayed sexually inappropriate behavior in plain view of families. • Possible Alcohol Violations (TPC §106.06) – It was unclear if minors were consuming alcohol, but supervision was clearly lacking. • Noise Disturbance (TPC §42.01(a)(5)) – The music volume and content breached any reasonable expectation of peace in a shared space.
Marriott needs to make a decision: do you want to uphold your reputation as a safe, family-friendly, and respectable hotel chain, or will this property continue down the path of becoming known as a party zone with no standards or accountability?
Until management enforces basic codes of conduct and public safety, we will not be returning—and I strongly caution families from...
Read moreStayed here for Business, and was a clean and new hotel. Only drawbacks was the tv was not working, and the floor looked like it had been mopped with dirty mop water. For these minor issues the staff made up for it with their professionalism and friendliness. The Stand out was Grace "Gods Girl" she was super friendly at breakfast, and went the extra mile to mention people by name and remember their names. She took time to make sure breakfast was to their liking and to have general conversation with everyone. This rare customer service experience, made us feel like we were at home, and took the stress off the day. Because of her next time we visit we will be returning to this hotel. We were impressed with all the staff at the front desk as well, they always greeted and ask how our day was. Always with a smile. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel if you are planning a stay in El Paso. Just know the Tv may not be working...
Read moreI stayed here April 16th-18th and this was by far one of the best locations I've stayed at in a while. The hotel is new (had only been open approximately 3 weeks prior to my visit) and is very clean. The staff were very courteous and accommodating. Breakfast was one of the better breakfasts that I've had in quite some time at a Marriott. (They used real eggs as opposed to the powdered eggs many currently use.) All of the amenities of the hotel were very nice and new including the fitness room. This will be my go-to location for all future...
