A make your own pizza with unlimited toppings, with just a little sauce and very little cheese.
We were in the mood for pizza after watching a movie and decided to try this place out. After walking in, the people behind the counter greet you. There is a large menu on the wall with a list of their toppings and some specialty pizzas and salads. You choose either 6" or 11" pizza, thin or double size dough, and there is an option for gluten free or a cauliflower crust.
I opted for a 11" cheese, 11" sausage and pepperoni, and a 6" margherita pizza. After ordering you get to watch them make the pizza. The dough is stretched out to make a thin crust pizza. Then just enough sauce to make the dough red is spread on. Then a ladle is used to scoop just enough cheese to barely cover the pizza, even for the cheese pizza. I would have thought for a plain cheese they would at least put a bit more on. Toppings are sparingly put on next and then the pizza goes in the oven. The pizza is thin so it doesn't take long to cook.
The 6" is sliced into four slices and the 11" sliced into six. The margherita and meat pizza was kinda ok tasting, but the cheese was not that great. Even the kids didn't want to eat it, and that is saying something.
This is an interesting concept, and nice that there is patio seating (something this area is seriously lacking), but not sure this will be top of my list to eat at. I may even pick up the pizza from Harris...
Read moreFood: their standard (the Maddy) is paper thin pizza with red sauce and cheese. I love it as I can eat a whole pie, but some may find it insubstantial; there are options to make the crust thicker by doubling the dough. There can be some inconsistency as each pizza line worker may put more or less of each topping; I have found this especially true about cheese (some, after adding the appropriate amount of cheese, will grab a handful and throw it in the middle; on the plus side you can tell them "that's enough cheese" or whatever while they are building it). My wife gets salads sometimes which appear to be substantial. The various pizza and salad toppings appear to be fresh and if good quality. Service: workers I have interacted with are friendly and fast. Since the service ends at the pizza being built and cooked, there's not much else to say here. Atmosphere: open format restaurant with lots of windows and the few tables may fill up during peak periods. Line to order may be long (up to 30 min wait) between 6-8, so come early or late. At other times, I have walked straight...
Read moreThis used to be my favorite place to get pizza from , it was always cooked perfectly, crispy bottom and cheese not brown but melted perfectly. Went there on 4/21 and service was unusually slow even though there wasn’t many people in the place , as we waited we noticed no pizza’s were coming out of over like normal , I told my husband that they were overcooking the pizza , no way should it be taking so long . We finally got our pizza’s and they were burnt up , the crust was not edible and all the cheese & sauce had cooked and was absorbed into the crust , we returned 2 pizzas , we made new ones , but they OVERCOOKED them AGAIN! By that time we gave up and ended up throwing them out at home .Going elsewhere from now on until they retrain the staff which looks all new , most looked like deer caught in headlights , It’s unbelievable that they can ruin a place and I don’t see the owner responding to complaints on reviews so I guess they don’t...
