This was our first visit here to this IHOP location. Although we've been to several other locations nationwide and internationally. The restaurant was not busy at all only one other dinner party was present upon our arrival and we were seated immediately. During dinner service 3 additional parties arrived. The server "Ronnie" was the only front of house staff member working both as hostess and server. She worked quite efficiently and effectively between the other table and ours. We ordered a combination of an appetizer, 2 breakfasts and dinner option. The appetizer was a side of onion rings. Breakfast options 2 items chosen from the 55+ menu The 2×2×2 option 2 pancakes 2 eggs (non egg whites) 2 sausage links and the Rise and Shine option 2 eggs (non egg whites) 1 Side of hash browns with grilled onions 2 slices of bacon And choice to toast 2 slices. The dinner meal option was the country fried steak. With country sausage gravy, and two optional sides I chose French fries and 2 pancakes. The meals arrived to the table hot and remained warm throughout the entire meal for everyone at the table. Our server frequently checked up on our needs even whilst attending to the other patrons. Staffing observation One of the new arrival patrons (single dinner) was greeted and seated his beverage of choice and brought to him prior to any order being placed. Ronnie immediately recognized any regular patrons. Reacting to the customer's usual needs, a sign of superior service. When attending to guests even at lowered staffing levels service was paramount and well handled. Our individual meals we prepared as requested. Each were executed and delivered without error. The fried foods were not overloaded and greasy, rather tasty and crispy. The hash browns were not individually prepared but rather prepared in bulk and the new arrival small amount of onions placed on top of the portion rather than cooked at the same time resulting in different and noticeable uneven degrees of doneness. The meals higher quality and portion size resulting in the takeout container being requested for some of the pancakes. This by no means was a disappointing visit. Everyone was well satisfied with the meals. And dinner will result in a future restaurant return visit to...
Read moreMy experience at this IHOP location was good, but It could have been amazing. Our server LeBron was awesome very professional, well mannered and quick with our service although he had plenty of other tables he made sure that each of his tables were tended to especially if they had any special requirements That the customers beseeched. However, I did notice that the atmosphere was a bit off due to management not hiring or staffing that location properly with a busser/dishwasher which meant that the servers were bussing their own tables. Also, it seemed like everyone was running around with confusion and like chickens with their heads cut off as if no one knew what their exact sections were. As if the manager or hostess weren’t rotating the servers so it seemed like they had no direction and were just being thrown out on a whim ; Which made the atmosphere seem chaotic and unpleasant. Our server also notified us that there were quite a few food options that were not available( such as the gravy for the biscuits and gravy meal and the salsa and mushrooms that comes with the big steak omelette) , which was a bit of a disappointment And I blame the management for not making their staff aware ahead of time so that way their servers wouldn’t be the bearers of bad news once somebody placed an order. With my personal experience being a chef and working in the back of house as well as the front of house, I know there’s proper procedures that should have been taken place to avoid some of these errors that came about such as having a board or a paper in the back that let the servers know That certain items have been 86’d and are not available. The servers were doing their best with what they had and I commend them for it with how busy it was being that a lot of parents were out eating breakfast after dropping their children off to school for their first day back. I hope that the management team see this and makes a few adjustments to better equipped themselves and their staff so things can run smoother...
Read morevisited this restaurant on 4/19/18 and recieved horrible service by a waitress who when we walked in complained about her problems at home being more inportant than serving customers, waitress was constantly adjusting her clothes and seemed to be sick with a cold sniffling and wiping her nose and mouth with the collar of her shirt, only asked us ONCE how everything was, did not refill our drinks, NOR ask if we wanted a refill, did NOT ask if we wanted a take away drink after we finished our meal, our meals came out very sloppy and clearly quality product was not on the two cooks priority list seeing as customers eat with their eyes plates were sloppy food was not hot pancakes were not hot food had CLEARLY been sitting customers who came in after us were served their meals by more attentive waitresses our waitress brought our food to the table and slammed the plates on to the table which shows poor customer service/training when it came time to pay the waitress just walked to our table ,fingered through reciepts and dropped ours onto the table did not give us a pen or anything did not thank us nor welcome us back this is why places such as this lose customers the manager was dressed in regular clothes as she had a waitress help her remove a BROKEN table from the dining area in front of customers when this should have been done BEFORE customers came in or while the restaurant was not as busy upon checkout and paying for our meal I had to ASK for a pen and needless to say she did not recieve a tip I will not tip poor service and careless employees not trying to be difficult but things like this is what causes businesses to fold dramatically if the service is poor and thefood is poor quality then why waste time I will NOT eat at this...
