Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been visiting the nature center for the past 5 years and really enjoy exploring such a gem of a spot. I totally understood the shift in hours during COVID and from summer to winter to summer but you randomly change your days of operation different from what your website states and that is bad community relations.
I work at a local social services agency and have been preparing to have a two hour outdoor activity with a small group of staff there and I have been trying to reach someone at the phone number listed on your webpage with no success regardless of the time of day I call. In addition thereās no outgoing message stating what your hours are or any general information for that matter. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited the Whittier Nature Center last July, and although this review is long overdue, the experience has truly stayed with me. I had found a tiny bird in need of help, and Colleen, the sweetest and most knowledgeable person, kindly guided me through what to do. She told me to bring the bird in, and once I arrived, she took over with such care and expertise, explaining the next steps for the little one.
While I was there, I had a brief tour of the grounds, and I was amazed by how peaceful and clean everything was. The centerās mission is truly beautiful, and you can feel the dedication of the volunteers in every corner. I havenāt stopped thinking about this place since my visit and would love to volunteer myself once my schedule allows.
Thank you, Colleen, and all the amazing volunteers for the incredible...
