VAQUERO BOOTS — Local services in South El Monte

I had an issue where my phone and wallet were stolen from my car, which led to an unauthorized charge on my card at this store. I immediately contacted my bank and filed a dispute, assuming they would handle it. However, I later found out that I had to reach out to the merchant myself to try and resolve the matter.

Not only did someone use my personal information (address, email, phone number, etc.) to make the purchase, but I never even received the package. My initial plan was to return the item if it arrived, but when nothing showed up, I contacted my bank again. They were unable to help further and directed me to contact the merchant directly.

When I called the store, the owner herself answered, and to my disappointment, she clearly did not care at all about my situation. She was completely unhelpful, dismissive, and had zero interest in assisting me, despite the fact that this was a case of fraud. The customer service was absolutely terrible, and she made no effort to help me resolve the issue.

I’ve had to reach out to multiple other merchants today regarding similar fraudulent transactions, and this store is the only one that refused to provide any assistance or show any concern. If you ever run into any issues, do not expect help from this business. I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere—to a place that values its customers and actually tries to help, even in unfortunate circumstances. Avoid this store...

This place is tough to find and the Google map directions are frustrating but it's because it really is not visible from the street. I would love to keep this place to myself but then they'd probably close down. I've always loved boots and just on a whim (due to RD2) I really felt like wearing them again. I did my research and tried to find a pair that would be good to wear for a whole work day. I found a great pair at boot barn but I also wanted a black pair of square toed ranch style boots. The prices at boot barn were a bit too high. I went to broken horn and couldn't find help. I came here because it was close and I am so stoked to give it a 5 star review. The place was small and there were 6 other customers but the guy behind the counter took time with all of us. No pressure! I told him about my foot issues and he recommended a couple. Very patient and the best part it was cheaper than boot barn AND broken horn for the very same boot. I saved about $40. I absolutely love my boots. They are the best quality that I have seen. Customer service is super helpful. I used the chat to get questions answered and they answered fast although it was late at night. I sincerely appreciate that. That also contributed to me buying boots here. They shipped my order out very fast and got delivered in 2 days. The price is very fair for the boots quality. I got the women's tooled boots and they are they only ones that are actually tooled.
