I am beyond frustrated with the service Iâve received from Value City Furniture and American Signature. I spent over $15,000 on furniture, including a king mattress and a smart frame, only to be met with nothing but disappointment. One of the most infuriating aspects of my purchase was the promotional offer: I was supposed to receive a free pillow with my mattress and only needed to buy a second one. Despite purchasing a king-sized bed, both pillows arrived in a queen size.
But the nightmare didnât end there. My PURE PROMISE 5-Year Protection Plan, which I purchased for peace of mind, has proven to be utterly worthless. When my 3-year-old accidentally knocked over a potted plant, spilling soil onto the sofa, I thought the plan would cover it since it clearly states coverage for âaccidental stains attributed to a single incident.â Instead, they denied my claim, absurdly accusing me of âaccumulating stainsâ and general soilingâcompletely ignoring that this was a one-time accident!
To add insult to injury, the customer service I encountered was downright horrendous. The representative was not only rude and dismissive but refused to provide her name or escalate my issue. Even after I provided additional photos and detailed explanations, they continued to deny the claim with no valid reason. I have been fighting this claim for 4 month. They keep telling me this isnât a maintenance or cleaning plan. A stain from a spill is clearly covered, the representative made me feel like I wanted her to come dust my couch off. I am an extremely patient person but the representative I dealt with was clearly on a power trip, determined to assert control and superiority throughout our interaction. Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, she seemed more interested in proving her dominance, which only added to my disappointment.
I cannot believe that after spending such a large amount of money, I am left fighting for what should have been a straightforward warranty claim. Their refusal to stand by their promises, coupled with the horrible customer service, has left me feeling cheated and incredibly frustrated.
If youâre considering making a purchase here, think twice. Value City Furniture and American signature furniture do not value its customers or honor its warranties. Save yourself the time, money, and stressâshop elsewhere!

Lets start with the living room set, my furniture was delivered in NOV and the sofa motors were not working, they were serviced and indicated they did not work so it needed to be changed. Delivery staff brought new sofas, AS THEY ARE BRINGING IT IN AND CONNECTED IT, they advised oh these don't work either..... AGAIN, to change the delivery and mind you i had to rent a UHAUL and deliver it to the store because they wouldn't come pick it up. Again, we got a new sofa at this point we had to change the entire piece to see if a new model would be better. When delivered IT IS BROKEN! stitching comes off, the delivery staff noticed and wrote it right away because how is furniture being delivered broken?! they should of taken it at that instance! At this point we go to the store , we rent another UHAUL and we take the furniture, the store tells us sorry you can't get a refund only a swap.... I had to explain and show proof of EVERYTHING and the store supervisor (believe her name is Maria) says i will refund you certain things but delivery and warranty will not be returned? excuse me? how are you going to have me pay for warranty when i don't have the furniture.... Called corp and spoke to a nice gentleman named Steven and he said that it is ridicules that they would have me pay for these things when i don't have the furniture and it was delivered broken. At this point i have gotten my refund approved. Now lets talk about the dining room table, i purchased along with the living room set. 1 of the chairs came cracked but it was okay because the moment the chair became available it was going to get swapped. American Signature would come pick it up and leave me the new one. We are now in July, called today 07/01 and was advised but customer servicer that it shows the chair is available but because of the issues i had with the sofa, i now have to take the chair to the store and bring home the new one... I was never called, never told this. i was told they will pick up and deliver the new one. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE!...

That was my first impression. Couple months later its turned into a nightmare.
I purchased a dining room table and a room set from this location for my parents. Within a couple months they started falling apart. My mother was sitting in a chair one evening and the chair just gave way. She fell bumped her head and twisted her arm and shoulder and we had to call rescue before getting her up. She ended up going to the hospital and getting checked out. Everything seemed to be in one piece but the issues were just beginning. When i called the store i got no answer. They dont answer their phone or when they do they put you on eternal hold. I was able to text my sales person who was helpful but her manager gave me the run around for two weeks. Then another chair fell apart and I decided to call their corporate office. They pretended to help but just gave me the run around for another month. They finally told me since my mother wasnt seriously injured or maimed that someone else would contact me. Its been close to another month. Noone has contacted me and the store again is not answering me. I have left multiple messages for their manager Maria San Philippe but i havent heard from them. Three more chairs are now wobbly and the drawers in the room set will not open or close half the time. This was a terrible purchase and the worse service i have ever received. We have a dining set that we cant use and drawers my mother cant keep her heart medication in because they will decide to not open on any given...
