I took my sonâs phone here for a screen replacement and Iâm very unsatisfied with the results. About a month after the first replacement, the screen started glitching badly. I went back since the repair came with a one-month warranty, and they replaced the screen again. Unfortunately, just a month later, the ânewâ replacement started glitching exactly the same way as the first one.
When I returned to the store, the technician told me they couldnât replace the screen again because the phone frame had some damage that caused the screen to pop up. While I can understand that explanation, it feels like too much of a coincidence that the screen glitched both times in the exact same way.
This experience makes me believe the quality of the replacement screens they use is poor. I expected better reliability and service, but unfortunately, I canât recommend this place based on what I experienced.
Update** In response to the ownerâs message: I received a call today from one of the technicians at the store, where I once again explained the entire situation. They offered for me to bring the phone back so they could take another look, but by then it was already too late â I had taken the phone to a different store.
At the new store, the technician opened the phone in front of me and showed me the replacement screen that had been installed previously. The quality was clearly poor. They demonstrated the two types of screens they normally offer: the higher-quality one, thin like a credit card, and a more affordable one, about 1 mm thicker. However, the screen installed on my sonâs phone was noticeably thicker â about 2â3 mm more than even the cheaper option. The technician explained this could easily cause the screen to pop out if the phone was dropped.
On top of that, I was able to prove that the damage noted by your technician was actually just the screen protector, not the screen itself. I'm telling you, if you have ANY problems, big or small, with your smart phone/tablet or computer... go to STG Repairs! The equipment and expertise is unmatched! They literally preformed an electronic miracle on my iPhone. I urge everyone to take a look at their Instagram and social media.... it's just phenomenal what they do! Here's my whole experience:
My iPhone 6+ was stuck on an infinite restart loop and everything I tried didn't work. I haven't backed up my phone since December, my wife gave birth to my 1st son this past May and so I was desperate to retrieve the pictures and videos from my phone. Trying to stay local I went to uBreakiFix and to some half-assed Apple authorized repair place in the Sawgrass Mills Mall called OneClick before I went to STG Repairs.
I'm telling you now... go DIRECTLY to STG Repairs! They were the only ones who took the time to diagnose the problem and give me REAL answers. They actually cared about helping me.
Do not, I REPEAT, do not waste your time with any other place!
The other two places just wanted me to buy a whole new logic board for my iPhone and kept telling me that all the data on the phone was gone and there's nothing they can do. I took it to STG Repairs and they were able to extract all my important data!
Within a week, Armando was able to diagnose, retrieve my pictures and videos and transfer them onto a high quality USB drive.
Diana and the support staff were total professionals and extremely KNOWLEDGEABLE about the repairing process. They informed me of what was going on every step of the way. They were incredibly helpful and I was treated with nothing but respect throughout the whole process.
