Hammer's Department Store — Local services in South Pittsburg

Amazing products with wide variety to select from. You can't find a better place with that kind of clothing quality for their low prices. However, their was two women that worked their that almost ruined me on coming back. The way they treated me when I was approached instantly but not in a very welcoming way and was asked what I was looking for. I simply stated I needed some coveralls the kind that keep you warm in really cold temps. In a size small or xs. I was then quickly referred to another worker who must of been having a bad day so I just tried to overlook her. She states the smallest size they have and points at them. Yes they was what I was sorta looking for but I couldn't afford that pare plus it was a medium and would swallow me up. So I continue to look out around went through a section that had a very polite man working in it who let me continue to shop without making me feel like the other two I had met. I finally came up on the hunting coveralls that was the section I needed to be and after some careful searching I found some.smalls and even a pare that was ss after the ladies had clearly told me the defiantly did not have anything near my size in the store and the smallest they carry was a medium. I found one pair of bibs that was ss hanging up or possibly folded up on the shelf followed by the long sleeve coveralls that was small and fit great I really wish I would of got those instead they would of been warmer and I could return the ones i got but I dont know if I want to be judged again by two women who looked at me like I was way out of place. The pair I bought was the bibs for 89.99 the long sleeve coveralls was 99.99. so I would definitely suggest this place but give it's customer service a could be...

Me and my family (a mixed race family)go to this store when we visit my grandparents and I have never had such a rude experience anywhere once we walked in we greeted the lady sitting on the bench, she made a grossed out face at me and my mother. The woman kept on staring at us in a grossed out manner until we looked back we kept doing that until she didn’t care that we were staring back.the 3rd thing was there was a old white man staring me at my brother while we were putting sweaters back, the three staff members where eyeballing me and my family the whole time we where I the store and once we left the lady sitting on the bench quickly adjusted her self to get a better look at us💀 GOD I HATE OLD PEOPLE😭...

I bought 2 pairs of pants they were on sale, same size, I tried one pair on, they fit, I got home tried the other pair on, way to small. I took them back, just to swap them. The owner, an elderly lady said no return policy, smiling while she took advantage of me.i It was only 10.00$ , I didn't ask for my money back just swap them, . Will never go there again. Be careful of HAMMERS and smiling old ladies. I am an older person myself so it doesn't bother me to call an older person out....
