So I wheeze when I get sick so I called to try and get my abuterol refilled. As usual Kaiser likes to scam people into paying more. The advice nurse told me to go in the emergency. I was seen care was ok and i ended up getting abuterol like I requested from the advice nurse anyway. I wanted to avoid medical fees. I pay 15 medication, but having to be seen in the emergency it’s a $100 fee just for some $15 Abuterol. To top it off upon checking out the emergency i told the woman I didn’t have the funds to cover my copay, so can she bill me. She begged me to put something down. Now I don’t have enough to get my medication refill. Begging patients to pay their copay is not only uncomfortable, but it’s weird hustle that employee done for Kaiser. It was a Middle eastern appearing woman of darker skin. I know my rights as a kaiser patient I’ve been one for over 34 yrs. Just a heads up begging sick patients to pay when they ask to be billed is uncomfortable having to bargain on a bill and unprofessional! There’s a photo that clearly shows how you can be billed it’s not mandatory to pay upfront. By the way the nurses and doctor was amazing the checkout woman is what disgusted me on my visit

I’ve been getting my blood work done here as well as RT-PCR, quick and ease. There is particularly one nurse that does not leave a bruise on my arm whenever she takes my blood sample, whereas the others always do. Make sure your doctor has lab request, get a number and wait for your turn. On a busy morning it can take about 20-30 minutes to be called. Pay attention on the screen as they do not call your attention during hectic time. The pharmacy pick up too is convenient, basically just get a number and wait for your turn and go. Sometimes, we will just wait in the curve and not park.

My complaint/review is about the security guard. This man makes eye contact with me and sees my windows down as I’m waiting for my mother to say goodbye to her friend that’s dying in the hospital. He puts his drink in the bush outside of my window, stands at the fender of the car and starts smoking a cigarette, exhaling his smoke which is going into my front window and out the back window. There is 100ft of clear sidewalk in both directions he could have chose to smoke, but he decided it would be best to stand right here. WTH?

Mark Zemelman Kaiser Executive VP, and attorney at Kaiser, doesn't want to hear about his doctors & staff At Kaiser South San Francisco conspiring to harm one of their patients! I reported the nightmare treatment by Kaiser management, staff and some of the doctors, but so far, attorney Mark Zemelman has done NOTHING ABOUT IT! When I was at a level of desperation, and pleaded for help; I was turned down by EVERYONE there! I left message after message for management, but nothing! No help! This is an OUTRAGE! They allowed one of their & manipulated, and unethical psychiatrist, took my innermost thoughts to use against me! A psychiatrist who does that is NOT a real psychiatrist! I have been looked down on like I am dirt, while the REAL CRIMINALS WALK FREE! According to two handwriting experts, there were forgeries in the court documents!People FORGED court documents against me, with the blessing of the attorney; because when I told him about it; he didn't care, or look into it! I told Mark Zemelman about the situation;and, he didn't want to hear about it! The actions done, and the lengths went to, by two doctors, merely to remove me as a patient of the husband doctor of one of them; was not some little prank; it was horrendous torture! They made me doubt myself, they made me worry, I had terrible nightmares! I was "gaslighted." They made me out to be some piece of filth enough to get a TRO for 2.5 years! WHO DOES THAT? The sad thing is that it is psychotic behavior, & one doctor is a neurosurgeon, & the other is a supposed psychiatrist! KAISER WON'T EVEN LOOK INTO THIS! I complained many times! How can that be? This is hurting me so much! I offered to stop trying to fight this injustice, in return for my freedom, but the Kaiser attorney, Mike Guasco won't do it. (He even said, I am not going to do it!) I told him that the doctors could be exposed; that they could lose their licenses; but no listening to reason! I guess he'd rather have me suffer, and risk it all! Kaiser has a law firm, Buty & Curliano, in some kind of retainer, so that Kaiser doctors can use them as a Kaiser benefit! I did NOTHING to deserve a TRO! I was harassed, and mentally tortured by their psychiatrist, Marija Petrovic; and yet when I asked for help from Kaiser management, Bertha Ponse, and Kenneth Sugematsu: NOTHING! They IGNORED ME! Security made me think I had done some inappropriate thing to my doctor; which scared me, because I would NEVER violate anyone! When I asked Mr de Guzman, what it was I was supposed to have done; he said that he didn't have to tell me, and neither did the doctor! It made me frantic! I have been the victim of abuse and kidnapping! I would not ever violate anyone's space! Since no management would help me; I wrote to the doctor on his private email site, and left messages on his voice mail. I don't think he ever got them, at all. No Answer! Then, next thing I heard, was that psychiatrist, and the doctor were going to a Risk Management meeting against me, BECAUSE OF THOSE EMAILS AND VOICE MAILS! If they would have just helped me; they would have been a moot point; but that WAS the whole point; to get me so frantic by ignoring me; that I would try and contact my doctor to ask him.! They set me up, I fell into the trap; and then I GOT A TRO OUT OF IT! My psychiatrist knew I was a shy, caring person, who would not do anything wrong like that, so my sensibilities were so offended by the idea of inappropriate behavior, I had to resolve it! To put me in the same category as the people who harmed me in the past, was diabolical,& beyond cruel! She was MY psychiatrist, yet she took my personal session information to use against me, and went behind my back to this Risk Management meeting, w my doctor. They also have a smarmy security guard, Edward Sousa, who appears to enjoy brutalizing people w/catastrophic illnesses. He wouldn't even let me rest for a moment before he prodded me off the bench making me leave. Someone missed out on WWll...

I booked an appointment for Friday at 2:00. I showed up at 2:01 and showed the receptionist what doctor I was there to see I said “I am here to see this doctor”. She just stares at me not saying anything. I said “is that ok?” She tells me I asked if he is here , “yea he is here so?”. She doesn’t ask my name or my Kaiser card and tells me there is a $40 copay. I paid her and got a receipt. I went to the waiting area where after 30min four other patients were called after each waited no longer than 2min. I went back to the receptionist who told me she is closed. I waited in line to speak to the other receptionist. I asked for a refund after stating I do not feel well it is very hot in the waiting area if I can please go. She tells me “there are other doctors back there” as if my request is unreasonable and as if I’m being impatient. After she made a phone call the triage nurse called me back. I went into the doctors office where she stated I was never checked in and they didn’t know I was there. She said the doctor is seeing other patients right now so hopefully I will be seen soon. I said I’m sorry I don’t mean to be rude to you but no I’m not waiting anymore I want to just get a refund and go. I went back outside to the receptionist who again denies me a refund and starts helping others who came after me. She then tells me she cannot refund me because the other woman took my cash. She then helps another person without any explanation. I realized the first receptionist stole my cash and never registered me for my appointment and that is why this second woman can’t give me a refund. She just called security and had her manager issue my fiancée a generic receipt for the amount that was taken from me. I’ve been a member of Kaiser my entire life and have never experienced theft by a staff member. It is clear the woman stole my cash and after telling me “she is closed” (she leaves) and her coworker tried her best to cover for her then called security to make me seem irrational and the problem. Kaiser employees have a system where they steal from patients. Be...

Where do I start! A month and a half worth of blowing off concerns and questions about procedures, and whether procedures were right or needed before doing, missed things and mistakes. ER staff, twice, doesn't listen blows people off told had allergy didn't listen, caused kidney damage 1st time. 2nd time husband, who can't talk, they took in by himself, wouldn't let me go to tell what was going on and about allergies the first time there, after I got in about an hour and a half later noticed they cut his allergy band off, said "oh he has an allergy band" When admitted staff doesn't like questions on what is being done and why, what meds, because they dont know. Drs have them use equipment they don't know how, in icu, after Drs leave for home. CRRT dialysis machine at night no Drs around to oversee. When the filter cartridge warning goes off. Nurse just keep hitting the override button. Two cartridges clot never ordered heparin with it like ordered in with his dialysis, known. Set iv med at .5 instead of .05. Norepinephrine! After that, high heart rate. Put him on another med 4 that! Is this a nurse training school? Write everything down, take pictures. Have some really great Drs., but the staff! Do not get admiited or have anything major done here. If a family member gets stuck here, make sure there is someone they know with them at all times, and yes they do let you stay all night. Just a clinic. Or a nurses in training facility. I will definitely add alot more at a later time. Just a little note I'm writing now as the nurse is trying to kick me out early because she doesn't want to work and doesn't want anyone to see. We asked too many questions, kept telling her husband was on med, she kept saying he wasn't. Then, "oh yeah, I guess he is" . A blood pressure med. Which she kept denying, getting him all upset and wanting to leave. Which he can't...
