Forget bringing a car here, zero parking spots, even disabled, at a quiet time lazy afternoon. How did SSF approve this huge building which includes shops and fast food, but let the building offer perhaps 20-30 total spots for EVERYONE? Crazy, their building department must be for sale. Gotta park blocks away and crawl up dirt hills laden with spiky grass.
Outdoor Seating is right on the corner of two roads that are nearly freeways. Noise, exhaust, and no shade. Delightful atmosphere to enjoy a $13 sandwich.
Employee was friendly and helpful. But the sandwich was mediocre and chicken patty cold. Like room temperature cold, right at the front. And for $13.00, one would expect better taste quality than the $6 Popeyes sandwich, but alas Popeyes is SO much better. Better bun, heated chicken, fantastic patty.
Now I’m sure Popeyes cheats with MSG, I’m guessing Starbird does not. But this is yet another example of fast food that is okay but almost as expensive as a real restaurant with table service and more. Had I purchased fries it would have met or exceeded that price. For self-serve fast food at a prettier table and brown yellow color scheme.
Food aside, this is an absolutely ridiculous location for a fast food outlet. Nearly no parking, noisy and claustrophobic feel, super expensive and quality nowhere near the “real” junk food at Popeyes.
If I were the franchisee, I would go over promises in my lease with a good lawyer. If customers can’t park, they can’t eat here. This is a big building, probably a few people here like their food, but doubt that they alone can sustain...
Read moreGot two Catering size Salads for my contribution to helping feed 20 hungry boys. ( High School Football Team Dinner) Don’t Judge me lol I just had carpal tunnel surgery two weeks ago! Anyway, after not finding the bagged salad that I thought the boys would like at Costco I decided to go for this. I ordered a little bit last minute at 2:45 and put in the notes that I would like to pick it up early at 4 o’clock if possible. Then I tried to call the restaurant and was unable to get through at that time. Restaurants are busy it happens so I tried to email the catering lead and to my surprise he emailed me back right away! I know my request was crazy and totally off base but I still figured it couldn’t hurt to ask to have it ready 45 minutes early. He assured me that he was going to reach out to the store manager and see what he could do. On my way there. It’s maybe 3 miles from my home, I was going to stop at the gas station… But I didn’t even make it there because I ran out of gas. What a day!! I still made it to the restaurant on time and my salad was ready at 4 o’clock. They really came through for this stressed out Post - Surgery ( Post Menopausal...
Read moreI’ve always wanted to come to a Starbird and today’s finally the chance to visit.
🍔Food: I got their new Indian Hotbird chicken sandwich. I can give it a 9/10. The sauces balance each other out w/o having 1 dominating the rest in terms of flavors. Spiciness level is about 6/10 on a general scale. The raita in it (yogurt-based sauce) and the cucumber let the fried chicken taste without too overpowering. The bun is also pretty good. The only downside is that the chicken is not fresh-out-of-fryer temperature and not as ‘authentic’ or moist as a Popeye’s, but the overall dining experience far outweighs the competitors.
🌽Elote corn side: highly recommend. Again very fresh & balances out the grease from the fried chicken.
Environment: Waayyy better than those regular fast food chains. Very bright & uplifting with ample lighting and light music.
🅿️Parking: parking can bit a bit tricky. Basically you need to stick close to the apartment building and drive into the parking lot whenever possible to avoid going over.
Would definitely come again whenever I have a chance to try out their...
