Deluxe Inn — Hotel in South San Francisco

I hate to give 3 stars because the employees here are awesome....for this type of hotel. They are in the process of remodeling....so jackhammer at 830 is aggravating. Since they seem to be doing it room by room expect if you were to visit even a year from now this would still be under way. The rooms are small...whicj normally is not an issue if you have dressers. You don't. A desk, two built in free standing because tables and a tv console that is home to....everything. Mini fridge, coffee, cable box and microwave. The electrical is old so a grounded electrical chord (3 prongs vs. 2 prongs) is the bathroom. Luckily I travel with an extension cord and an plug adapter for situations just like this. The bathrooms. This was clearly built to be a hotel. So If like to find the architect who did these bathrooms he must weigh a hundred pounds. The bathrooms are small, poorly ventilated no bathtub and awful shower heads. For such a low cost drop and the fact homeless families reside here while waiting for space in a shelter, this a quiet little spot with 24/7 staff...

What you need to know is that's it's been remodeled. I read the past reviews and I got a little scared to stay here but my boyfriend booked it. The staff was so nice and helpful. My boyfriend and I did a stupid and didn't think it through when it was under his name and I was checking in. Even though we did call in and asked if it was okay. They said yes. Long story short, I didn't have his ID and credit card, I can't go into the room.

After a saga of trying to get it, the staff asked to hold my ID, so I can actually go into the room, until he comes to handle the paperwork which we all knew was going to be 6 hours later. The staff actually handed back my ID before my bf came because he wasn't going to be in the office (dinner time) and didn't want anybody to break in and steal it.

Room wise, its clean. A little lacking in furniture. Cable TV was great. I didn't try the WiFi. Bathroom was small but clean. But they should invest in some...

It's clean and small..The manager/owner is rude and just a horrible man..He insisted I had a animal in my room! Even asked me if I was SURE I didn't have a animal in my room !! Of course not, I think I would remember something like that... I checked out ..He also asked my husband again..We check out cause of the manager/owner accusations ! 2 hour's late I receive a message left on my phone,get this INSISTING I HAD A ANIMAL IN MY ROOM CAUSE OF SOME PET HAIR ON THE BED !! And I would not be welcomed to stay there ever again !! The man (manager/ower) NEVER SAW A ANIMAL or HEARD An a ANIMAL!! HAS NO EVIDENCE to refuse me service !!! At least have some evidence besides some so called strands of animal hair on the king size bed !! That could have fallen off something...
