Never make a deal with a salesman Part 2⦠This is the second part to my review. Please see the previous reviews for Part 1 by Maurisha Roney. The day of: The day of the wedding was a mess--- any event plannerās worst nightmare. The morning of the wedding Al told me that he moved their ceremony to a room across the hall and put their food in the room with their reception. The bride SPECIFICALLY stated that she wanted her wedding and reception in the same room. How do you just change this the day of? I was able to talk him out of making this change. They also asked for 10 tables to allow more space because of worries about Covid. Al said this was fine. On the wedding day, Al took away two tables and said they could only have 8. How do you work around this sudden change when there are seating assignments? Fortunately for us, they didnāt have assigned seating since their wedding was only for 75 people. The photographer was supposed to capture the bride and her bridesmaids getting ready at the venue. She showed up right as the wedding party was about to walk out for the ceremony. TMS was provided a very detailed outline of the day and we had to come find them every single time we were transitioning. The dressing room that they gave the bride and bridesmaids was decent but there was NO AIR!!! They were in there sweating out their hair and makeup! Their wedding was in June. How do you stuff them in a little room with no air??? After the ceremony, we were scheduled for a 30-minute cocktail hour as the wedding party took their pictures. We dismissed the guest and there were no appetizers out and ready for them. They didnāt even have water for the guest because the Bartender wasnāt there to setup yet. After about 15 minutes, they finally allowed the guest to have appetizers. Still no bartenders so the guest began drinking the lemonade that was in the room with the appetizers and then they were stopped and told they couldnāt drink that because it was for dinner. How do you cater and not even provide water for the guest? When it was time to cut the cake, there were no plates or silverware available, although we confirmed that TMS would do the cake cutting and serving and provide the plates, as most caterers do. Luckily, I had some plates in my emergency stash. Dinner was decent. I have no complaints about the food but half of their guest were served their food on Dixie PAPER PLATES!!! This was so embarrassing and tacky. The bartenders were probably the best thing they offered. Needless to say, TMS must do better. They need to be more organized and more prepared. This wedding only had 75 people. I could only imagine how much worst things wouldāve been if they had 100+ people. I was so disappointed with their service. I would never recommend another client to this venue. Their lack of professionalism is unacceptable. I never write bad reviews and I contemplated long before writing this one, but I think itās necessary. I donāt care what they respond to undermine this review, read all of the negative reviews before this one and you will see that this is a consistent pattern and not a one-time incident. You have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpon initially speaking with Alan I said that I saw a cute teddy bear themed shower on their Instagram page and thatās the theme I wanted for my sonās baby shower. I told them the colors I wanted and from there Iām thinking theyāll take it away because professional decorators should know how to decorate. Right before the shower he sent a text telling me what the center pieces would look like (florals and candles), and asking what chairs I wanted (clear or gold), I chose CLEAR. I asked could they incorporate teddy bears into the center pieces since that was the theme. When I got there, the ONLY teddy bears were the ones included in the center pieces and the chairs were gold. The day before I had received a text saying that I had been complimentary upgraded to the Omega roomā¦if that was considered an upgrade, I would hate to see the room I was supposed to get. The white, plain dry walls were hideous and the tables were very minimally decorated. Just linen and the small center pieces. I did say I wanted cute, elegant and simple because I donāt like gaudy looking things. But boy did he take the word āsimpleā and run with it. It was simply tacky. No teddy bears anywhere. No backdrop. Just these ugly white drywall walls. The pictures the site posts compared to what it looks like in person makes it seem like false advertisement. It was very embarrassing for me to have guests come in to that, and I also would have been embarrassed as an owner to have a patron come in to that sorry set up. The person they had waiting on us was told 7:00 was my end time so she put food away long before it was over which was 8. I had guest complaining because a few more people had walked in and there was no food. They also started taking the cushions off my chairs!! I had guests telling me ātheyāre taking the cushions.ā I will be calling tomorrow to air my grievances. Thereās more, too much to type, but there are several more one star reviews on here and my experience is the same as theirs. This place was EXTREMELY overpriced for what I got. Iām very disappointed. The only reason they got one star is because zero...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNever make a deal with a salesman Part 1⦠Please read my review and some of the other reviews and be extremely cautious. If you are looking for a venue to have an event and you need no other service from them besides the hall, great. You may have a decent experience. If you are booking them for anything that requires much detail RUN!!! The first time I met Al, I told my clients, āBe careful. Heās a salesman.ā They proceeded to book the venue anyways because it seemed like they could get almost everything they needed for their wedding and reception in one place. HUGE MISTAKE! They wanted to have their wedding and reception in one room and TMS had rooms that accommodate this setup. They were also able to book their photographer, bartender, and catering through TMS. I have so many complaints that I donāt really know where to start ā¹. The planning process: Al made them so many promises that he couldnāt keep up with them. He would say that something was included and then change his mind the next time we spoke. He kept trying to add more items onto what they agreed to, even if that meant him discounting the prices. Some things they even agreed to at a discounted price and then TMS realized they couldnāt pull it off and cancelled on them. He never let them see the dressing room prior to the wedding, stating that it was currently being used as a storage but they would have it ready before the wedding. The venue would NEVER confirm details on paper. They would only confirm details on the phone or in person. They wouldnāt respond to emails or text messages confirming details. He tried to change their room at least 4 different times and when it was time for their rehearsal. He allowed a group to practice in the room their ceremony would take place instead of allowing them to rehearse in the room their ceremony would be held in. They wouldnāt give us ANY details for the vendors. They said we had to go through them so we werenāt able to confirm day-of details with them. I had to give them the menu for the reception 4 different times because they kept reverting back to what was chosen prior to the...
