Central Kitchen — Restaurant in Detroit

I have purchased several dinners from your establishment spending pretty much well over a couple of $100 but today this evening I purchased the barbecue chicken dinner and my sides were macaroni and cheese and yams I never thought that anyone could ever ruin barbecue and or baked chicken my chicken was rock hard the meat is yellow the yams were black the macaroni and cheese was dry and the one thing I always get is your peach cobbler always very very good tonight it was horrible cold bitter so I think this will be my last time getting any day from your location.

This afternoon (July 27,2025) I returned to Central Kitchen and spoke with Chef Charles regarding the above review. Upon entering I was PLEASED to see that Chef Charles was working. I open up the bag of food that was severed to me the evening before. Chef Charles examined the contents and immediately he was apologetic. True review for Central Market Kicthen inside the liquor store. I went on Feb 13th. The cook asked us not to blast them on social media to come to her first if it wasn’t good. Well it wasn’t and her excuse is the over flux of customers bc of the social media post. She can’t keep up it’s one person that can cook. What irritates me is that she said the social media post is the reason for the inconsistency basically. But you had about 3 more popular influencers come and all their food was good??! How when a regular customer comes you have an excuse. The greens taste earthy like she just put them in the pot NO SEASONING. But everything we had that day was horrible. DON'T ORDER SOUL FOOD FROM HERE!! EVER! Whew chile, where do I start! I ordered fried catfish with two sides. My side selections were candied yams and BAKED spaghetti. The catfish was definitely old, and the grease the fish was fried in was old as well. Anddd SALLTAYYYY! But I stayed optimistic because there is no way a person can mess up baked spaghetti!!! WRONG! The spaghetti tasted like they used canned sauce OR RAGU with too much sugar. I literally had heartburn from two bites. And baby let me tell you, if that was baked spaghetti then I'm a got dang MILLIONAIRE. Because that spaghetti didn't even GLANCE at a oven!
