American Legion Post 500 — Local services in Speedway

Attended Indianapolis Motor Speedway Grand Prix race and someone recommended considering American Legion for Indy 500 breakfast Buffett later this month. On walk back to parking lot after gpx race, I visited the Post to ask breakfast buffet questions and to find out why their rv lot never has any vacancies for the IMS races throughout the year.

I helped myself to their printed May monthly calendar which happened to mention the 7:30 am breakfast on that day(s)/weekend like it was just another blip on the screen. I took a couple for my acquaintances including the person who told me about the breakfast.

Someone in the parking lot I asked if he was a member and he said no,...

So I have to share this experience I had at this American Legion about 5 years ago. I thought I had left a review and if I did I don’t see it so here I am leaving it again. I was in town for our annual trip to the Indy 500 and one of our guys was in severe back pain that year so we brought a wheelchair so he didn’t have to walk around in pain. One of the wheelchair wheels broke and somehow these guys helped to give us a wheelchair for our buddy. We weren’t even legion members. I will go back every year I’m in town and again thank these wonderful people. BTW, as promised, we brought it back to them. Thanks again...

Camping for the month of May…. Good luck with a nice greeting or a smile. The women that runs the place now is one of the most rude individuals I have ever met. Normally a great experience but a total joke at the moment.
