The people working there seem to sound quite knowledgeable however I went in because my system was cutting out when the base hit hard so I figured they would be able to at least try to fix it or at least tell me if I need a new amp or some sort of solution and I was left still with the problem, was told my amp was wired incorrectly, and the guy completely messed with my settings on my radio that he claimed would make things sound better. I get into my car to leave and when I turned my music on it didn’t even sound like I had subs anymore. Everything was turned WAY down. Called and made a complaint and was told he “forgot” to turn the gain on the amplifier back up. I’m not sure why you’d send your customer off before making sure everything sounded good. I’ve had a system in every car I’ve ever owned, I know how to adjust settings, I do not however know how to deal with the wiring aspects. I’m just super disappointed that I spent 100$ and a half hour of my time to be left with the same problem and not a single clue on what to do moving forward. I live on the East Coast and came across Carey’s website, and they were offering the best price overall. The transaction was very smooth, shipped quickly, and it was in use in my home just three days after deciding to buy. The deck had a peculiar problem, and I’m almost glad it did, because it led me to meet Mark Carey and a few of his staff members through phone calls. We worked remotely to solve the issue, and Mark even employed the advice of Music Hall’s owner. It was incredible. They shipped a replacement turntable, it’s gorgeous and works flawlessly. Best of all, we got to chat quite a bit, Mark and his team are some of the “good ones” in the audio business world who unpretentiously work with clients like they’re family.
