Initially I thought the gym was great. I had been wanting to get inti a gym to better myself physically. I discussed this with a friend of mine about how I'm not the type to do things alone and didn't want to be the guy at the gym that does it wrong. My friend "an existing member at this gym" said he would be happy to be my workout partner and give me some pointers along the way. As anyone would do while working out with their friend. I said great and joined the gym. We worked out together rotating on each set, things were good, so I thought. Went two days back to back. Then woke up ready to go again the third day in a row and my friend was informed that he and I were no longer allowed to attend the gym because he was "training me". Couple hours later they messaged me stating the same thing. No warning or discussion with us on the matter just canceled our memberships. Where is the divide between working out with a friend and being trained? Is it payment? Cause I don't pay him. It's a locally owned, woman-run small business, for one, and secondly, the gym has everything you need, including 3 squats racks and 2 deadlifting platforms.
