Dave created the best experience for our family! We stopped here on our way home to Washington from Coeur D'Alene after searching for a gem store to take our daughter and niece to. I'm so happy we'd ended up here. They have the coolest selection of gems, awesome cuts and varieties of minerals, beautiful pieces of jewelry, a hands-on area (that has a spray bottle our 8 year old used. She was fascinated by the way the rocks changed colors 😊) and more. We purchased a $5 grab bag that we opened at the counter. I was pleasantly surprised with what we got for the cost, and Dave took the time to describe what a geode was to our daughter, and how to break it open properly. He also helped us find polished birthstones for both our daughter and niece) The prices were very reasonable, and the customer service was remarkable. In the hustle of getting back on the road I forgot half of what we purchased behind, but Dave was kind enough to take our address over the phone, carefully package up and mail it to us. Upon entry I was amazed at the rock and lapidary stock on hand. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They answered all my questions and provided insight as to how I had varying choices as to where to begin and thoughts on expanding my field of purchasing equipment and tools. They had raw material, slabs of stone, polished stones, crystals of every shape and size, cutting and polishing equipment, gold panning equipment, and various books on rocks, fossils, cutting and faceting gems, and maps. This is my go to source for materials and supplies. I give them 5 stars and highly recommend them. The prices were really great as well! Thank you to the staff that assisted me on my visit. The owners daughter is an absolute sweetheart. During my first stop in she was extremely kind to my family and I. She was so welcoming and showed us all of the neat rocks that had been recently polished. I wish I was able to visit more than 2 times before moving states. Great selection of rocks from the family's personal collection. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves rocks and gems. I got a cool wonderstone the first time I went in and a beautiful black slab of carbonized wood along with a dendritic agate during a special sale event.
