I'm sorry to say that after several years I have had to make an update to my review of Fueled. While the quality of coffee remains the same, the lot and building are starting to seem like the owners care about their gains more than the success of the business with no updates and having not fixed furniture that is in need of repair. This is really just surface level, though. It used to be that the other coffee shops nearby were "avoid-at-all-cost" shops due specifically to their demeanor towards LGBT+ individuals; sadly on my last visit I was greeted with this same demeanor as the service agent saw my overtly LGBT+ hat and their attitude towards me clearly changed for the worse. No longer was the cordial, grab coffee, enjoy the day feeling there anymore; rather a feeling of dismissal and urgency to vacate filled the air. If they would at least advertise that the LGBT+ members of their city will be looked up on and treated differently then it would, at the very least, save the negative interaction and horrible feeling having to be addressed as the person you want to leave but can't say that to because you're at work. Needless to say, I will not be coming back and neither will any of the individuals I know. I can only hope this update also reaches the ears and eyes of those also in my community before they are forced to endure the same attitude towards servicing members of the LGBT+ community.
Fueled is a great little shop with some amazing folks working there. The bartistas/os are all extremely kind and personable as well as being knowledgeable about individual drinks. That is to say, they're good people AND they understand the difference between a mocha and a latte! Fueled is in a unique spot to be amongst some of the few five-star coffee houses; they recently started wearing masks, their customer relations are top notch, and the only thing missing for that fifth star is having a strong and reliable roast. I'm not sure if they roast their own or purchase, but the beans are almost there every time. All-in-all they're an amazing shop and I highly...
Read moreI go here all the time. I get a 32oz redbull and sometimes a bagel. What I shouldn’t be getting is a black hardened bagel. I love going there. But every time I get a bagel, it feels like I’m wasting $4-6 every time. I can’t even eat it all because of how burnt it is. It often gets thrown away because it’s not edible. For a place that doesn’t have over 30 food menu items, it should be easy to take out the bagel before it gets too burnt. I’m saying that as I used to be in the restaurant industry, I know how difficult it is to make a menu of over 30 food items. And yes I’m disappointed because it’s not every person that works there. Seems like it’s just a few that don’t care how the food they make turns out. Well that’s great, you might not care but the people spending the money on this stuff do. So please in the future take the time to check your food especially before you give it to them. Don’t take out a black bagel and still give it to the customer. If it’s burnt and you yourself wouldn’t want to eat it, don’t give it to customers. And don’t ruin peoples food they are spending their hard earned money on because you are upset or don’t like them. This is a business. Not a drama class. I’m not trying to be rude, but after over 15 times of this happening though, I’m definitely going to say something in hopes it will change. And as someone that doesn’t have $4-6 to spare because someone can’t take out a bagel, it’s really frustrating because I have never burnt a bagel like that my whole life. That money wasted on something you can’t even eat could have been $4-6 of gas. Or towards actual food. Please do better...
Read moreI rarely ever do reviews but this one deserves a mention. I have been going to this coffee stand for awhile now and they are definitely my go to when wanting a treat. However the other day I went to redeem one of my free drinks that I had earned by buying 10 drinks and was told I could only order a 24oz. I was taken back because when I come by I usually order two drinks and more times than not one or more of them will be a 32oz. So I was very hesitant going back knowing this information however I still had one more free drink I had earned. So today I decided to give them one more shot unannounced to the barista. This was going to be my last visit to Fueled Coffee stand. I pull up and announce to the gal that I would like to use my free one and was wondering if I could pay to get the actual size I want. She responds with sure what’s your number. She makes my drink comes to the window and says “there’s no charge since that’s what you usually order”! Just like that, they retained a loyal customer with their excellent customer service....
