Pros: this a classic hobby shop, full of any part or model you could ever want at reasonable prices I'm sure and if you knew what you wanted, walked in, took it off the shelf, paid and left, I'm sure you would leave a glowing review.
Cons: My issue was with the service. I came in seeking advice on my first ever RC plane build, which I was struggling with to a degree. The service I received was reluctant, as my parts were bought from hobby king, which they kept repeating they dont deal in because they believe the parts to be inferior and lectured me on how HK is driving brick and mortar hobby shops out of business. The actual help I did receive was only because I was paying for it and at a somewhat steep rate (15 bucks for about 15 minutes) but was to no avail as I didnt exactly receive advice from them and was unable to replicate their results when I got home. The guy that helped me even went as far as to say that my build was "a disaster waiting to happen" as I was a new flyer and my plane was a high performance model. even if that was the case, it was fairly offensive to have something I'd worked hard to put together referred to that way. The gist I got from the encounter was, we'll help you if you buy your stuff from us, but we dont want anything to do with you if you dont.
I'm not an unintelligent man, but this was a topic that was new to me which I needed help in. Ideally advice would have been helpful and substantive for which I would have gladly paid for. I dont feel that was the case. I feel like it was a waste of my good money. With good service I would have been convinced to return and give them more of my business. As it stands, I feel like not returning is a good enough incentive to learn how to figure this out on my own. I cant justify giving them any more business.

Read moreAlthough they have a large selection, after spending a several hundred dollars at this store I will never shop here again. During the attempt to make a purchase one of the employee’s started yelling at the other employee while 6 customers were all waiting to be assisted. So unprofessional. The store is such a mess even the employees can’t find what is there. They gave me the wrong battery connector so I had to return to get the correct one and was told just to shave down the one they gave me to make it work. I left and went to Hobby Town which is also locally owned and operated and was treated much better. I will only go to Hobby Town from now on. If it were possible I would return everything I purchased from B and B but they have a no return policy on the products. They take all off their vehicles out of the box and let every customer touch and play with until you come to purchase the product. The vehicle I purchased had several issues that needed repaired once I got home with it like the tire that was not completely glued on so it fell off the Rim and the steering components that were loose even though the Company Red Cat that made the vehicle says the screws were thread locked at the factory and the tires are glued on at the factory. I have to imagine letting every customer play with the cars leads to tire glue being torn off and loosening of screws that are thread locked. Do yourself a favor and go...

I asked for price and availability on two models, I told them do not order them with out calling me. they called me a few days later to tell me the kits where in. I went in to speak to them, there was no reasoning with these guys, I tried to explain to them I was not called about any prices or availability, I was told by the owner "we know what we are doing, you were called" and quite rudely, I was shown a date and time marked on the model, a note I guess??, I again tried to reason with them and at least explain the circumstances but was continually interrupted and told "we know what we are doing". well if you did "know what you were doing" you would never treat or talk to customers like that. I was intending on buying both kits plus the one I was told to "put back that one is not yours" by the large fellow, but due to how rude you were, I bought the one model only. I have since never been back and never will, I will happily pay a couple dollars extra to be treated with respect.
