The Garland is Spokane's Longest Running Independent Theatre. Opened in 1945, it's a pristine example of Art Deco Architecture with its straight lines and angles. Attached to the side is the vintage cocktail bar, Bon Bon. It may not show the newest releases, but if you can wait a week or two, it's a cheap alternative to have a lazy night in but also out.

Went to Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind for my birthday last night with family. My brother got an absolute kick out of the fact that you can have a beer while you watch your movie. I love the movies the Garland plays because it’s all my old favorites. Staff is always so friendly.

Super beautiful place. Great prices and staff. If you haven't visited yes you have to go asap. This is a wonderful place and wished I had one near me. I envy you all that have access to this wonderful and beautiful movie theater! It you love movies you'll love this place.

I will never go in this theater again. They're now showing porn and that is a sickening thing to think about. This used to be a place you could take your family your kids people from out of town. Unless you're okay with sitting in other people's bodily fluids you might want to avoid this theater at all cost. On top of all that their staff is unhelpful incompetent and rude the last time I went in there. There was no one at the ticket counter so I went inside to the concessions to buy my tickets. I stood there looking at the girl for 5 minutes when she finally asked me if she could help me. I told her I wanted to buy tickets if there was no one in the ticket booth. So instead of ring me up right there she made me wait for another 10 minutes for someone to show up. So apparently common sense and common decency and morals are no longer practiced or followed at the Garland Theater. Spokane has truly lost one of its greatest...

Garland Theater was once my most favorite movie theater. I would buy season tickets to the theater every year for me entire family for many years. I currently no longer go there because the service has become very sad and disrespectful. Not the entire staff but enough to ruin it for me do not know the definition of hospitality service. I go out to have a pleasant experience not a negative one. Those who serve you can dictate your enjoyment very easily. I was able to get over the fact that they would play the same movie at the same exact time for like a month strait. They never switched the movies around so people have different movies to fit into their schedule. The owner should think about stepping up their customer service courses and have every single employee take it at least twice a year. I should be a 2 star but I gave it 3 star because the memories I have as a child! The theater is great the...

I love what the new business owners are trying to do, but unfortunately without a parking lot I wont be able to attend anymore movies with my family or business. It makes the venue inaccessible for people with disabilities (which is a shame considering they're trying to offer sensory friendly movies) and as a woman I dont feel safe having to walk through a neighborhood by myself in the dark after a movie. Plus I'd be worried about car break-ins/theft. I dont think the theater will survive without a viable parking solution. Ive been to multiple shows where they filled the entire parking lots and now they expect those people to find parking in the crowded neighborhood streets? The shows theyve been offering are exciting and I was looking forward to some future shows advertised. It's a shame to loose such a wonderful and historic part of...
