I had a great sandwich. My buddy Mike, last Sunday, while at work, said " I wish the sandwich shop on Garland was open on weekends. They're delicious.". I never heard of the place. A few days later I was heading into the big city, on my day off, and thought sandwiches. Got my lady the sandwich built on a pickle...great idea, wife was not upset with it, so kind of a win for me. I got the Philly with au jus and it was solid. I will definently go back and maybe try the reuben'esque type sandwich. The place is small, I parked behind the building, not even sure if that is appropriate or not, but after I saw someone park against traffic, mostly on the street and run in for an order I figured I was prob fine. The ladies were nice, gave a 20% tip cause I figured that was probably appropriate and they seemed like they took some pride in their work, which is refreshing. Thank you for the prompt service and not being upset with me when I stumbled through ordering. I have to admit I was overwhelmed with the many different sandwich delights. How do you choose your favorite item on the menu...a cornucopia of delectable treats... It was a real...
Read moreThis is the only food establishment that do not take their orders as first come first serve ...many people will walk in behind you and get their orders right away ...people calling in their orders will get their orders before you.. even if you are a delivery driver which is what I am and you're still waiting there for 15 minutes or longer. That is way too long when they want to reassign the order then that's not good that's telling you the sandwich shop is taking too long to make the orders and get them out in a properly timely manner.
I pick up deliveries from Panera bread Chili's all kinds of restaurants ...none of them even take this long.
They need a new protocol they need to enlarge the place and they need definitely more help to say the least.
The employees are very nice but, it just takes way too long to get your orders and they should not be backed up like that.
I worked in the restaurant business for many years and I just feel that this is...
Read moreI was doing a door dash pickup and the sandwich maker did not change her gloves after wiping her nose and scratching her face which is covered in makeup. I feel bad for the person who ordered this sandwich and I will not be going there until they fire the young blonde lady who made this person's sandwich. Just gross.
Update: picked up another order for doordahs and they're still not changing gloves in between orders and the SAME GIRL I complained about from the first review wiped her shirt with a rag and set it back down on the cutting board where the food goes, she drank from her coffee in the same gloved hands, touched the p.o.s. system and answered the phone in those same gloves. I see they STILL have not improved and or taken any food safety lessons. I've worked in fast food most of my adult life and I have taken food safety classes MULTIPLE times. Next step is reporting their business if I see this...
