I was so disappointed by my takeout order. For starters I was underserved from what is written on the menu. I ordered two combo meals each including the prawn & vegetable tempura. According to the menu the prawn tempura is two prawns and five vegetables. Between the two meals I received two prawns as opposed to the four I was expecting.

The teriyaki chicken was obviously cooked separately from its sauce because it was so dry I didn't finish that entree either.

Finally the tempura was served in the same container as the teriyaki so it got soggy. By the time I was home the tempura was wet as opposed to crispy like I would expect a breaded and fried dish to be. Either the tempura was undercooked to begin with or the way it was packaged was ruined for consumption on the drive home.

Finally the gyoza were overly dry and chewy, I would get better gyoza from Grocery Outlet frozen aisle. The way it tasted it almost was like the gyoza wasn't made in house and was from a frozen bag.

Not worth $60 for date night for two. Either you need to learn how to package your food to travel home with takeout orders or not charge your prices because this was despicable quality for the prices.

I was trying to support somewhere local as opposed to my regular downtown spot. Never coming...

Let me start by saying that we have been customers ever since they opened, and I hate to leave bad reviews. I love giving good reviews, but today we had a pretty bad experience. My Son went online to check out the menu for lunch at Madori Sushi in the Garland district. He picked the maki bento Box for $13. When my Son called to place the order on the phone the woman mentioned $18 some change. He asked me to double check the website again to verify the price it was $13. I went to pick up the order and the woman told me the total was $18 and some change. I asked her isn't it $13?? She said no the price has changed. I said online it's advertised for $13 could you honor that price this time? She still said no that price is wrong. She also said that my Son should have argued the price over the phone, but by him saying ok and hanging up the phone that it meant he agreed to the price. I was like what the heck? Then the chef started on me saying that it's now $17. I said no thank you then and walked out the door. The woman had the audacity to run after me into the parking lot telling me that the menu I saw was a customer review. I explained that I saw it on both their pdf menu online and the customer's picture online. I just think that it's horrible way to treat...

Food was excellent, and well priced. However the experience was so awful that I can't in good conscience give it higher than a two. First of all, the atmosphere is that of an old faded boat with no maintenance in years. There aren't even chairs at some tables, instead metal folding chairs. There was one waitress, black hair, for the whole restaurant, she was overwhelmed. There was another waitress, red hair, who did nothing but walk around waiting for her to go order. The black hair waitress threw the menus on the table, left it wet, and later on spilled water on me then walked away. The owners who are the only people making the food never stopped to help her or tell her to stop sitting people down. Then came the one hour of no one checking in us, not even our miso soups until we had to remind the black hair waitress. My partners food came quickly after and mine 15 minutes later. Overall only worth it...

Stopped into this cute little sushi place tucked into the corner of garland and monroe street, the place is quaint all be it a bit on the small end of things but very friendly staff definitely gives off that hole in the wall style vibe. I've stopped here previously and really enjoyed it so stopped again just for a quick bowl of miso soup and it is really delicious and comes out super hot but managable here.the wait staff is fast and attentive but the food does not come out at a reasonable speed overall. They have really cheap lunch specials but their full dinner menu is really unique and they probably have some of the most "different" rolls in spokane, which can be a nice little change of pace from the same old same old. They have a small variety of non-sushi style dishes as well and that is nice for those that are not fish lovers! Will definitely come back again as i try to always try a place several times.

My husband and I had been looking at visiting this place for a while and it did not disappoint! The staff were incredibly kind, helpful and patient while we decided what to eat and the vibes were very homey, similar to what you might find in Japan. We ordered the Karaage Chicken and House salad as appetizers and both were delicious and not too filling. The salad is made with an in-house dressing and was devine. We also ordered the rainbow roll (left), parmesan salmon roll (middle) and Amazing Cali Roll (right) and they were all phenomenal! Some of the best sushi I've had in town! Everything overall was fairly inexpensive compared to other sushi places in town, and equally if not more delicious! We will definitely be back!

We are here on vacation and after a long day stuck in traffic, we were tired and so so hungry. We decided to eat here and we are so very happy we did! We ordered the Bento combo and it was absolutely phenomenal! The server was adorable and kind, you could tell she really cared about bringing joy to customers. The chefs as well! So much care and love. It was everything we needed and wanted! Thank you so much for filling our bellies with one of the best meals we've ever had!
