Whitaker Family Furniture — Local services in Spokane

Today my girlfriend and I decided we would go look at some couches to find something everyone in the family would fit on at once. We had a price in mind and we were looking for something with no intention on purchasing today unless something really grabbed us.

Couple stores in I decided to check out a family store I saw on Facebook that the owners had a few common friends with me. I’m beyond satisfied that I made that choice.

Darius was the first person to greet me and my family. He showed us around, told us where things were, and came and checked on us every little bit to see if we needed him for anything. He knew the answers to most of my questions and was willing to run and ask for anything he didn’t know of the top of his head. He was as kind, courteous and inviting of an employee as anyone could ask for.

As for Whitaker Furniture. Great place full of good people. -kid zone to keep the small humans busy while you look and test everything you’re looking for -extremely clean bathrooms -very well staged furniture packed into the building without feeling at all crowded -vibes, atmosphere, candle smells, music and just such a nice atmosphere I felt like I was shopping for furniture in the Whitaker’s home not their store front -every room and every piece of furniture was clean, warm and inviting -every single employee greeted us with a smile and a hello. Ike overheard my conversation with Darius about why we came in and went out of his way to come introduce himself and shake my hand.

Overall it was just a great shopping experience at a local, family owned business. They have won me and my family over and I will be singing their praises to anyone looking for furniture. I will update my review with pics once our couch comes home. Thanks...

Here is my experience if you choose to read it!

When I walked in there was a gentleman who showed me where the watter bottles were, and to feel free to take a tour. If I needed a guide or had any questions to give him a holler. No pressure. The furniture was so nice I thought "hears another place I cant afford". I was surprised to see such reasonable prices. The furniture was very sturdy, And so dang comfortable with the plush materials and thick cushions. I melted into the first couch I sat on. I might have even fallen asleep. It was a great experience. With nice music, comfortable furniture, and the peaceful atmosphere. Once I had a good idea of what I was interested in. Ike was the perfect guy. He helped me with style, colors, comfort and what would be the best choice for my space. I was hooked! He nailed it. But there was one problem. Not that the furniture wasn't worth every penny they were asking. (And maybe I shouldn't be shearing this 🤭 butt!) they worked it out so I got everything I wanted. For exactly what I told them I could afford. I told them it was to much. I couldn't let them do that. He says "Please Nik I want to do this for you). Who does that?? These folks don't just say they are Christian they prove it!!! Once the very helpful delivery guys got finished settings everything up. I fet completely disappointed 😞. I didn't need any more furniture. Shopping lately has been dreadful. With the way people have been due to the economy. It was great to have a positive shopping experience. I can't wait until we need some more new furniture!

If I could give more stars I would! I just want to start by saying thank you to the lovely couple who owns this store who helped our furniture dreams come true! The owners have beautiful personalities, and just the right amount of humor. We went there just to check it out because we needed some beds and they had a sale going on that we found on Facebook. The moment we entered the place it smelled amazing the music was low and welcoming. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and we were immediately greeted by Ike and his wife Rachel, but it doesn't stop there our kids were lovingly welcomed by their children also. Their kids took ours to the awesome bounce house on the other end of the store and showed them where to play! it totally took the stress away from having to keep eyes on the kids because the store has so many well decorated show rooms with different set ups! Yes this place just keeps on giving! The amazing homely atmosphere sold us on the items we bought today. There was no pushy salesman or the feeling of just being upsold like so many places. The place we went before this today made us feel like we were not important because we asked for the lowest priced mattress for our kids bunk bed! Ike and Rachel knew we didn't come to spend a fortune but still treated us like royalty! They also helped us out with some amazing financing options im so grateful for the entire experience! I completely recommend them for anyone who's looking for something new! I also believe I overheard a phone conversation saying they may have some things preloved for sale also if new isn't in the budget you would have to ask though because I'm not certain hope my review helps with your...
