Pleasant surprise. Diamond in the rough. So many theaters trying to go cheap by sacrificing products and services theaters should not ever and can not actually afford in the long run to chince out on. You don't need extra-service deputies with full gear to guard your non-bank theater. You do need butter for popcorn, all and extra the customers will request. You definitely need clean floors and carpeting that doesn't smell like rancid, old butter. You need a great location but if you can't get a great theater location then the very best parking is a must. This theater is in a great, presently secluded location, and the parking is actually not bad though the parking near the front entry is a bit one-laned. There is massive, additional parking at the side and back of the theater building.
I heard this theater had free popcorn on Wednesdays if you bring your own bucket. Not sure how that's possible but that's a great deal and a bargain. They have matinee days for elders who can't afford to pay full price for tickets, too. This theater and its owner probably have a hefty loan for all the new modeling and seating and digitizing they've done to the place. I mean, I feel like this is a theater the way theaters used to be when I was a kid, fun to go to, entertaining and delightful to look on all the walls and see the newest movie posters and info and more, except this one has a fully digitized theater experience.
The food here is great too. My friend and I, and then myself alone, have been to this theater nearly ten times. The junk food is great, tickets and food prices are not extremely high like other theater prices are that we've been to around Hernando County, FL. Full reclining, cushioned seats, very pleasant and a nice difference. Theater also serves alcoholic beer beverages, very nice.
One time I went to this theater by myself and didnt stay for a movie. I just sat in the front lobby and ordered french fries. I didnt have to wait at the food counter for my order, I was told to sit and someone would bring it to me. Sure enough, about five minutes later or so, the fries were a very large portion served to me on a b/w checkered patterned plate (made of hefty paper) and served to me with a chef's plate topper. Fries were very fresh and crispy outside and tender inside, a retro delicious eating experience. The fries' price was great too.
.... I'll be going back to this theater.
Oh, yeah. Almost forgot because of all the extras and lobby glitz and upgrades this theater provides. The actual in-theater, seating and movie watching experience is also positive. Definitely great and enjoyable. You can pick your own seats on a touch-screen before you get into your theater / movie of choice. Seats include small (but decent size) folding table-tops to place your food and beverage on, w/ cupholder built in. Movie screen size is great and always what you expect from a professional movie theater. You're not crammed up next to your friends or family or other theater patrons / strangers sitting next to you. There is nice spacing between each...
Read moreMy kids went to see Taylor Swift Eras tour. They were super excited, saved their own money, got dressed up and then when my first daughter payed she was charged as an adult. The cashier was new and doing a great job with little guidance and immediately realized what she had done wrong, and went to rectify it, but a male cashier came up and said “No to keep things fair we need to charge them both as adults” My kids felt awkward and didn’t know how to respond but when they came out and told us what had happened and my wife went in and kindly asked the cashier for the situation to be rectified. The manager Michaela stood next to the young new cashier the entire time and never intervened. The cashier told my wife that “they didn’t offer refunds” We were not asking for a refund, only for our kids to be charged correctly. After my wife left the movie theater without receiving my kids money I called and got on the phone with Michaela, who claimed to be unaware of the situation until after it was too late. Even though my wife read her name tag while she stood right next to the cashier and listened to the entire situation. Letting the new girl deal with a situation that she was completely lost on. On the phone Michaela was extremely argumentative, interrupted before I could ever finish explaining the situation, she blamed her staff and took absolutely no accountability pretending to be unaware of a situation she stood by and watched. The worst part was that my wife and I have worked with people far too long to ever be ugly to the staff of an establishment. We go out of our way to remain calm and kind yet Michaela acted like we were wrong. She was completely inappropriate as a manager. We did get our money back after way to long and if the new girl was being managed properly it would have been a super...
Read moreLittle bit annoyed about the experience I just had with this theater and I do plan to contact the corporate office tomorrow morning. Tonight I purchased a ticket for both my four year old son and I to see a movie. My son was very excited to stay up past his bedtime and go out to have a little treat. Let me begin by saying that I was not made aware after purchasing that it was 1. Completely sold out and 2. If the person handling the sale assumes your child’s age, you apparently share the same seat. Me, not knowing this pretty important information, sat in the wrong seat (because usually you can sit where you please if it is empty). That was my fault. Two full grown adults at a children’s movie had gone out of their way to complain that I had stolen their seats instead of telling me I was in the wrong spot. Okay, fine. So the big fat manager comes out as soon as the movie starts and tells us we need to move and we only have one seat. But, if someone else comes we will need to CONTINUE to move spots. This was insane. We purchased seats too. After walking out of the theater and being stared at and my son flipping out I just politely asked for a refund because I was already so exhausted. THEY WON’T DO REFUNDS! I had to choose to squeeze into one seat with my son (if one even stayed open) OR leave with a voucher (as if I would ever return). I would like to say thank you very much for the opportunity to feel so embarrassed and for poking the bear that is my son. Have a great night, remember to wipe the seats after the adult furries watch their children’s movie to lessen the rate of STD in our area. Only you can...
