Updated Review 07-27-2025: I went back to Big Lots today, and the store is much more packed with merchandise, no more bare shelves. I was the only one in the the whole store which was weird. I wonder if people don't know the store has reopened. Big Lots should send emails out and start advertising that they have reopened.. The clothing section is huge, and they are carrying a lot of name brand clothes like Bebe, Levis, Lee and many others. They may be buying overstock from department stores. They have a lot of kids clothes too. They still have a small furniture section, most seems like leftover Broyhill stuff from the old Big Lots. The new clothing section has replaced the majority of the old furniture section. Now that the shelves are about 95% full, I can see myself shopping here more often. It's definitely worth giving it another look.
Old Review: I went to the "New" Spring Hill Big Lot, yesterday, when they had just reopened, and I am very disappointed. It is not like the old Big Lots, at all. On the positive side, the prices were a little better than the old Big Lots, but the shelves were sparse and some were empty. They are still getting merchandise in, but they are not carrying all the housewares, toys and furniture the old Big Lots had, and they seemed to have had some leftover Broyhill furniture from the old Big Lots, but other than that, they had very limited furniture. They added a huge clothing section, especially for kids. It's as if the size of the clothing section has replaced the size of the furniture section of the old Big Lots. I hope it gets better, and they get more of the same merchandise of the old Big Lots because if they don't, I don't have high hopes for the future...
Read moreI have been trying to get a cabinet in there for the past couple months. It is one that we had bought previously and we needed another. I have kept my eye out and every time I've gone and I've been told they're out of stock today I asked one of the employees who I think was called a Furniture lead manager whether or not they had them in it showed on the internet that they did have them period I was told they were both sold yesterday I asked him to call to couple of the stores and reluctantly they did there was one found in a city where I work about 20 miles from my home I asked if he could have them hold it for me until I go to work tomorrow so I don't have to make an extra trip today. He told me that they don't hold things in he wouldn't hold it for me either if he had it period I then asked for the phone number to the store in the other City and was told by a very nice young man there that they would hold it for me with no problem at all. This store in Spring Hill on 19 is miserable they don't want to do anything to provide good customer service period they act like they hate being there and being bothered...
Read moreWe went in a couple weeks after they opened. One thing I amazed by was how clean it was! Never seen it that clean in all the years it was there before now. Even the bathrooms! I commented on it and told the manager- great job! Limited inventory at the time, but figured they were slowly getting things in. Lots more clothes- nice ones too! Went back recently only to find out they were just closing- at 8 pm! Not good, imo. Why are the all the new Big Lots stores doing this? It's not just them, others do it too. I guess it saves them money. They lost our sale that night- since we went to a store open until 10. All in all I'm glad they're back open. Wishing...
