Cupcake Heaven — Restaurant in Florida

Bought 6 cupcakes. 2 of the 6 were excellent! (Pineapple, & red velvet) the cakes themselves seem very crumbly & kind of dense. Still taste great though. Just was very messy to eat. Wasn't greeted very well with it being my 1st time. Owner was busy so it was just a younger girl who helped me. I asked her if therr were any just regular vanilla. She says in the back we do. I noticed after leaving the vanilla frosted one, the frosting was just losing its texture and becoming flat. Again still a decent taste. The carrot cake was not the greatest. Ill def try again if I am in area. Try a diff 6 flavors. My dental assistant told me about the cupcakes here being the best she has ever had. Cupcakes are my weakness & coming from IN I have had some amazing bakeries Id visit. Im willing to give it another try. Hopefully next time a mask and gloves will be worn also. My first time visiting today. Figured I’d try a few different flavors to see what to get on a regular basis. I’m a baked goods aficionado so I know a thing or two about good quality cakes! I got the carrot cake and tiramisu flavors. Loved the tiramisu cupcake except I think it could’ve used more coffee/espresso flavoring. Otherwise, It was very light and delicious. The frosting was to die for! It was fresh whipped cream swirled with a choc cream filled wafer. The carrot cupcake was just OK. Cake had walnuts and raisans but the frosting was a disaster. Wayyyy too sweet without a trace of cream cheese in it. A friend got the red velvet, banana split and strawberry cupcakes and had the same comments to make regarding the over the top sweetness of the frosting. Cakes are...

As you can see these reviews are very old and not at all useful. Yes, when Cupcake Heaven first opened their doors their cupcakes were very good, made with real ingredients like real cocoa, real extracts (flavorings) but I cannot say the same for the last couple of times I have been there. The cupcakes are dry and tasteless. The Strawberry cupcakes used to be the best made with white cake with strawberry filling and white icing with real strawberries stirred in. I hope they can see their mistakes by using imitation ingredients and start putting cocoa back into the Red Velvet cake...until they make these changes, I will make my own. They better hope that another cupcake place does not open...
