Warning - this is a verizon authorized retailer. It is NOT an actual Verizon store. After experiencing some issues with wrong information and deceptive practices at this store, I was warned by both Verizon and another friend to avoid these stores and only go to an actual Verizon store. Issues were as follows: Told that I would get a $100 target gift card based on my purchase and it would be emailed to me in a few weeks. This was advertised on Verizon's website, as well. In reality: 1. I'm not eligible and 2. If I was, I was supposed to figure out where to go in the Verizon app to request it. Not informed that there would be a 5 dollar per month credit if you bring your own phone. Two of our lines would not have gotten new phones had we known this. As such, the phone is not free but rather is $5 per month over a 3 year period. Activation fees were supposed to be waived. We had to go to the store and then I had to call actual Verizon to finally ensure the credits are going to be applied in the future. One line upgraded their phone plan above the base plan and got a new phone. What we didn't know is if later this line downgrades their plan to the basic plan, it's gonna cost 5 more dollars a month bc there is a hidden credit for the new phone being applied to the bill. So, there is no way to downgrade the plan until after 3 years.
Overall, I will never do business at this store or others like it again. So much incorrect information and trickery involved in trying to upsell the phones. I don't know why it's hard to clearly spell out the fees, options, etc.
I've called actual Verizon a handful of times to resolve some of the issues above but I'm still trying to resolve the other issues with the store.
The guy that helped us out was nice but I will never trust the employees at this store again or at other Verizon authorized retailers again. I suggest you just call Verizon to do business..it's much simpler and to the point. At a minimum, do your own research and do not trust anything they say in this store. Get any rebates/offerings in writing from them before paying.
I was also told by an employee that there isn't a store manager at this location. No clue if that was another lie or is the trust. Sounds odd, but is another reason to avoid this location. I guess no one is...
Read moreVerizon does NOT recognize them as an actual authorized retailer!! We went there last month and thought we were getting a Verizon plan. Now less than 30 days later, we get a $300 bill that was supposed to be no more than $170 for two o iPhones. We paid up front for everything. They even took our older 5s phones saying we can use them for credit. Tonight we contact Verizon in regards to our bill and they say this store is NOT an authorized seller even though they advertise it everywhere. They use Verizon boxes and wear Verizon uniforms. Makes no sense they can be unauthorized and get away with it for this long. Not sure who is scamming who but it's so disappointing. There's not a carrier out there honest and loyal to their customers. We contacted Verizon customer service as directed while in the store and the salesman was adamant about not speaking to customer service. He told us how Verizon customer service bashes their store and how awful they were before we even got started. Verizon never bashed them. They only stared they were not an authorized retailer. But he proceeded to insult his own company.
The overweight store salesman made insulting remarks to our intelligence. He said we don't understand taxes or math in general when my fiancé has a near masters in the field. It's not too difficult for us to find out how they were screwing us.
From now on, if you need a store go to the actual authorized retailer in Columbia TN. Trust me it's worth having real considerate professionals than going there. If you say they are great and bla bla bla, double check your bill and don't fall for their...
Read moreWhat an awful experience when I got my Verizon bill!!!
I went in, changed my plan, got 2 new phones, and thought the experience was ok. When my Verizon bill came in I noticed my bill was extra high. Why? I'll explain.
Cellular Sales charges you $35 a phone to set it up. I assumed, in store, this was the Verizon activation fees. No...you will be charged for those later through Verizon. The $35 is just to put your sims card in and transfer pictures.
I noticed, on my bill, I was now being charged for insurance on the 2 new phones. That was a conversation that never happened. The salesman just added it. $13 for each phone. I'm sure there is commission for these sales, so he just added it without discussion. So watch what you sign because you might be authorizing something that isn't discussed.
Finally, the salesman sold me on the new Verizon Family plan. It's a new plan for kids and said it was only $15 a month as long as I had an Unlimited plan. This turns out to bill false. You can save, up to $15, if you have an Unlimited plan. The plan is actually $45. So yeah, I got the old bait and switch.
After 1 hour plus on the phone with Verizon, I got most of this straightened out. I'd advise you to go to a corporate store instead of this one. And if you do go here, dont let LANCE be your salesperson.
Just in case you are wondering, I called LANCE the salesperson himself to try to fix things...I left him a message and sent a text but he never...
