We are new in town and have come here a few times and had a good experience. My husband came here this morning and ordered a drip coffee for himself and an americano with no cream for me. When he got home with the coffee I noticed that there was cream in the coffee. After looking at the label that was printed out and stuck on the cup, it said “Americano with sugar in the raw and half and half.” It did have my husband’s name on it, so I don’t know how they got that so wrong. I am unable to have sugar so my husband had to drive 10 minutes all the way back to get it fixed. When he got there he walked up to the barista bar and waited at least a minute before anyone even acknowledged he was there with a coffee in hand already. When he finally explained what had happened the barista didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience and the girl who had taken his order was standing there and heard the whole conversation and never said anything about ringing in his order incorrectly or anything. Then the barista asked him “so what is it that you are wanting?” And said “I can make you a new one.” Having worked at Nordstrom and having full knowledge of what good customer service looks like...this was a let down for sure. It would have been nice to at least hear that they were sorry for the inconvenience...have them offer to give a free drink next time, or a discount, but none of that happened. We spent an extra 20 minutes and unnecessary gas driving over this the...
Read moreI have not had a bad cup of coffee yet. Pour over, lattes, etc. have all been delicious! Their specialty drinks are always fun, too. I've enjoyed drinks like The Love Potion, The Child, and the Salted Caramel Queen.
Not only is the coffee good, but the pastries are phenomenal. I am a fan of the homemade strawberry poptart, but their cinnamon rolls are my favorite. Such mouthwatering delight! In addition to the pastries, they provide breakfast burritos and a chorizo poptart and a poblano & queso empanada, which are filling and a nice savory complement to a sweet latte.
I often come here to get some work done on weekdays and weekends. The last door on the right as you walk into the house, they have a designated work room with high tables where one can set up a laptop or lay out papers to grade. It is also a great place to meet a friend for coffee. The seating options range from plush faux-leather chairs to industrial metal stools to sun-warmed wooden benches and tables outside. Also, as part of the decor, they have several pop-culture goat artwork.
Overall, it has a great atmosphere, where the staff is incredibly friendly, the seating comfortable, and, most importantly, the coffee and food...
Read moreI battled between giving this place 3 or 4 stars, but went with 4 since they are new and can probably iron out some of the kinks. The drinks are great, the atmosphere is perfect for a coffee shop... staff is friendly. I am a tea drinker and found it odd that they don’t have a black iced tea, the kind of tea you can get everywhere. They didn’t tell me this, and when I ordered an iced tea, I was given green tea as if it were normal. I didn’t mind so much, but they should’ve warned me so I could get something different.
The layout of how you order needs to be addressed. Nobody knows which way the line goes, so people congregate and often cut off other people who have been waiting. A better marked sign could help, it just gets a bit congested.
Also, it’s slow. They’re new and only have 1, maybe 2 people making drinks, so you’ll wait a bit for yours... but it’s good! If you have time and aren’t in a hurry, I recommend it. But, if you’re wanting to drop in to grab a quick coffee to go, maybe try spending your bucks at the shop down the road.
Parking: eek. This can be fun. There’s a sign saying to park at the church down the street if the small lot is full. Growing...
