Dr Thomson and Dr Brimhall of Brimhall eye center have been amazing. Dr Thomson lasered my Right and left eye to reduce the pressure with a follow up appointment for the following week. I was sent home with multiple eye drops and thought all was going quite well until Sunday night when the pain resurfaced on my right eye and the multi colored halo was back. I called the service hoping to just leave a message for a Monday call back instead Dr Brimhall himself came to the phone and told me to just get to the office by 8am. One look and he said I had less than 48 hrs before I would lose my sight the next few hours had his staff scrambling to get everything in place for surgery the next day. I cannot begin to express how compassionate and efficient they all were the entire office from front to back focus on patient satisfaction. Well I had the surgery yesterday, and according to Dr Brimhall it was extremely challenging but he felt at peace with what he was able to do. He was the most caring and compassionate physician I have EVER met even in all my years in the medical field he has no comparison. He took time to make sure I new all the facts good and bad associated with the surgery and even held my hand and prayed over me before I went under. Today's post op visit had him beaming!! my eye is now at 14 and minimal swelling we will wait two weeks and then do the left eye. Looking back I did have some symptoms but I did not know enough about opthamology to understand what was happening, needless to say that will never happen again I will be more aware. So I guess I have been blessed and once again my faith led me to the right person to help me. Can I recommend this practice ? there are not enough words if you need a great group of ophthalmologists there is none better. As for Andrew who was assigned as my surgical counselor words fail me, when we could not get a pharmacy to compound the medication I needed for post op recovery he offered to go home and get his own bottle for me! but as I had enough antibiotic during surgery we could wait for Fed Ex to deliver overnight. Andrew you are a blessing !!! For all my friends, Pastor and church family who prayed and kept in touch with Danny I thank you from the bottom of my heart. And to my Lord and savior you were with me each and every moment as you always are and my faith stayed strong in...
Read moreI am 70 y/o. I had Lasik 21 years ago in Los Angeles. Back then, Lasik was said to only last 10-15 years. Recently, I noticed my right eye was getting weak so I went to the local Lasik Vision Institute to see about a touch up. They found cataracts in both eyes and referred me to Dr Jordan Thomson at Brimhall Eye.
The entire experience was fantastic! All of the staff were courteous, caring, conversational, and professional. They carefully did all the eye exams and were very thorough. I never knew there were so many tests. LOL Brimhall has plenty of assistants and space, so the wait is never long.
Dr. Thomson is amazing! He is kind, professional, caring, and takes the time to show you your exam results, and explain everything and every option. And on top of that, he listens intently and no question or concern goes unanswered.
The surgery is scheduled one week apart so both eyes are not done at the same time. The post-op care and exams are thorough as well. I had a minor uncomfortable feeling in one eye almost two weeks after my second eye post-op exam. I called and was able to get a next day appointment.
After explaining what was happening to the assistant, they completed several tests. Dr. Thomson arrived and looked very carefully at the eye. He said was good I had come in as the eye still had some inflammation and he prescribed an additional month of ocular drops and scheduled a follow-up.
My wife, also 70 y/o, just went to get new glasses on Monday and was told she needed cataract surgery before they could complete the exam. Obviously, she will be getting the surgery done by Dr Thomson and Brimhall Eye.
I know I'm wordy, but Dr Thomson and all the staff from receptionist to assistants, to clerical, and especially to the doctors, deserve accolades for their exceptional care...

I had an appointment with Brimhall Eye Center and Dr. Thompson back on March 3, 2020, just at the start of the pandemic. I thoroughly researched ophthalmologists before deciding on Brimhall Eye Center, which had stellar reviews. I waited for weeks (as you usually do in Las Vegas) for my appointment. I had an issue with previous cataract surgery at Wellish Vision Institute (see my review) and needed a second opinion of the damage inflicted by Dr. Kent Wellish.
The wait was long, the room was hot and overcrowded, and the front desk receptionists, there were two, were unpleasant and unfriendly. I met with Dr. Thompson (after a 45-minute wait), and he prescribed some eye drops and told me to come back for a follow-up visit. When I returned after the pandemic had started, the waiting room was again packed, and people were not wearing masks or keeping their distance. So, after about 40-minutes of waiting, I went to the front and told the receptionist to please reschedule. She agreed to call me, and I waited, and I waited, and I waited, but never a call. When I finally called, the front desk girl said due to the pandemic, the office was closed, and they would get in touch when it re-opened.
It's now been eight months (and they've been open for many months), and I've never received a call back for my follow-up appointment. Like most medical services in Las Vegas, Brimhall Eye Care patients are left to fend for themselves. How many times do I have to call or told I'll get a call before one happens?
I wonder about all the positive reviews of Brimhall Eye Care if this is the kind of service a...
