Boba Hut — Restaurant in Spring Valley

Really hate to do this, but it's been over an hour since I left Boba Hut without my Fried Tofu after waiting 30+ minutes for the order to be filled. When I called, the kid who answered knew exactly what I was talking about, but his solution was for me to load my kid into the car and drive back to the restaurant for an appetizer that would be sitting under a heat lamp.

Sorry, that won't fly, not after a 14 hour day. I suggested he could send it with one of the Uber Eats drivers who kept going in and out (3 while I was waiting, undoubtedly contributing to a long wait time) but for some reason that wasn't agreeable. He took my name/number, said the charges would be reversed after he called the manager (not on property, I guess).

35 minutes later, and no call response. I called back, he said the manager couldn't be reached. Sorry, that's just piss poor business practices. I told this poor kid I would have my CC cancel the trainsaction if I didn't hear from someone in 5 minutes...its been 15.

Maybe my reaction is a bit much, but that tofu is awesome. It's the lead picture for their Google listing for crissakes. This sucks, I really like Boba Hut but now...

I was up late and looking for somewhere that Ubereats would deliver(fyi Uber eats is the best third party delivery service) and I am so disappointed! Why are you named boba hut?! I would have NEVER known you served Hawaiian style food! I've been going to aloha kitchen this whole time because I thought it was the only place that made home food right!!! Anyway once I got over that disappointment Juat said better late then never. Prices are reasonable! They make the proper Hawaiian bbq which is actually Korea 😂 but hey semantics!!!! Saimin soup is a bit salty but just add some hot water and problem solved. The saimin noodles are perfectly textured! Make sure to order noodles on side of doing take out or delivery so they don't end up soggy. LoL they literally slap a peice of spam in the soup rather then slice it up; too funny. Reminds me of home. Spam musubi is good. Asked for extra sauce but didn't get it. Vegetable egg rolls are also good. Basically enjoyed all the food I got for the family. my only issue is that I asked for extra sauce for the kalbi and musubi and DID NOT get it. 😭 Idk if I will order again but it was good and...

So I visit from out of state and always try to stop by Boba Hut for good Hawaiian food. A friend who I had just picked up from the airport placed our order. Meanwhile there was about 4 people a head of us. A lady with her children was upset she’d waited 45 mins for food and they issued her a refund. I thought she was overreacting but about five mins later my food comes out. Everyone else in front of me waited about 15 more minutes and some of their food was already ready on the back counter just sitting there. About another ten mins go by I ask where’s my friends order after asking several times prior she said it wasn’t in the system so it wasn’t being made the whole hour we waited. Extremely disappointed she issued my friend a refund and we left partially hungry and wasted over an hour. Meanwhile they were busting out mobile and Uber eats order. Very frustrating for paying customers who are there in person! They need to fix this ASAP because...
