While I felt this was ridiculously expensive including"extra dye" on my barely past shoulder length hair costs on top of quote, i appreciated the head massage while rinsing. My hair however was not rinsed out at forehead because when I went shopping after, dye started running down my face. I had even mentioned that I needed it rinsed really well because it bothers my skin. I have lowered my review for the following reasons. It's been several days now since I got my hair done. She went back for extra dye twice and redyed my whole head. I expressed concern about the first round being on so much longer than the rest. Near my roots is nearly black while the rest is a bit darker than what i wanted. Then I discover that after washing twice that I'm getting colored water dripping down while it dries. I've ruined 3 dresses/shirts so far and my towels for drying are now colored auburn instead of blue. I've been dying my hair for nearly 50 yrs and have NEVER had color come out on my clothes, down my body or any of that. What exactly did she put on my hair??? It wasn't permanent color like I know permanent color. I'm afraid to wear any of my favorite clothes now. So, today, a "manager" called me to come in to fix (I was told this person was not in and currently out of town when I got there) I asked the lesson who was suppose to fix it what we were going to do and showed her the picture from my pillow this morning. (See below) I was told that with red hair that's NORMAL although I've been doing red for a long time and I should expect that. She intended only to wash my hair with standard shampoo and dry it. Something I could do at home and have several times now since. If you are okay with your clothes and your sheets looking like below picture then you might like it here. If you prefer NOT to be told by someone who has been alive less time than you've been dying your hair that the below picture is normal? I recommend Supercuts. Needless to say. I left. Sorry for the missing pillowcase photo it won't allow me to add it or change the previous one. It looks like someone sprayed blood across it but apparently...
Read moreSo let’s rewind to March 2025 I got a cut and wanted a balayage. I go excited especially because for the first time in my life I go to a pretty expensive salon because I thought I was getting top notch. Definitely not the case in my situation. I went with Olivia because at the time she had a lot of good reviews. First off she totally botched my hair cut and the color wasn’t what I expected. So I got in touch with the owner she was very nice and professional and gave me a discount for my next visit. Told me to come in and get my hair cut fixed but I was already iffy about it but the owner reassured me she was one of their best stylist so I went a got it retouched. She fixed it and was polite about it. So I decided to keep my appointment for my next balayage which was yesterday. This time I got a lot less color then what I got the first time. Then at the end of my appointment yesterday she told me she doesn’t want to go lighter than I am now. This isn’t anywhere near my goal color. I could see if I had awfully damaged hair but i absolutely do not. I take care of my hair and to say that as I’m already $700+ into this just made things worse. How does anyone ever leave happy because after my second visit I’m still very unhappy especially because this isn’t a...
Read moreOn a whim I decided I really needed a haircut and looked for salons in my area. I saw that Evoq had positive reviews and when navigating their website, I was able to book a same-day appointment with Sarah for a cut. I was also able to upload some inspiration photos directly through the booking site which was cool. Evoq is located in the new Evora complex in Southwest and the construction can make it a bit difficult to reach, but trust your GPS!
The salon is beautiful. Lots of natural lighting, modern furniture, and warm atmosphere. The receptionist was friendly and gave me a Fiji water bottle which was so nice. I met Sarah who is super friendly and we talked about what I wanted which is a butterfly cut. I mentioned my concerns with my hair dryness and overall lifelessness and she suggested a moisturizing treatment. I noticed she was using all Kerastase products which I really like. The haircut was GREAT and everything I was looking for and her head massage is A+++ (I basically got 3 of them while in the shampoo bowl). Sarah was super attentive and checked in with me to make sure the length was ok and she styled it exactly like the photos I showed her. I would...
