Saubel's Markets - East York — Local services in Springettsbury Township

I had a cashier by the name of Jennifer and she wasn't the nicest person in the world. Considering that I flew into the state (and country) to visit family, I didn't have a gold card. When I asked about it, she literally waved me away and continued chewing her gum. My dad sent me back in later to pick up a few more things and I was dreading it. Luckily, Jennifer wasn't in when I returned. The prices were still high, though. Cashier Number Two was a polite young woman that asked me if I wanted certain items bagged or even double bagged and her blue lipstick was quite lovely as well. I failed to get her name as her hair was covering her little pin but she dutifully got me a card and showed me how much that I saved. She was very patient and answered all of my questions. (I ended up giving the card to my mum as I don't live in the USA.) Sadly, the store is kinda pricy even with the gold card. Next time that I visit, I'll probably go to Giant...

I shop Saubel’s a lot because of the convenience. It’s a fast in and out ! Donuts are amazing good! Service at the lunch meat and pastries could be more attentive . But the ladies are always pleasant. I think there price are a bit high especially on products . Once in a while I do find great prices on meats and alway stock up! It would be great to have incentives For gas points! I would probably shop there more . One thing I can’t wrap my head around is why the high prices on hotdog rolls and hamburger roll ! Sorry I just would never buy them for the prices you guys charge ! Cashiers are most the time pleasant but not always ! Wish they had more of selection like fresh seafood and fresh meat show case. But will continue to shop there for the sales and specials . Oh one more thing I think your lunch meat slicer’s need to be calibrated because they don’t cut even. Just some helpful hints ! Saw a commercial about lump crab meat on sale…I’m from the DMV…and I love crab cakes… So I decided to give Saubel’s a try… Wasn’t impressed with the prices…for non sale items..The crab meat had a very weird taste and texture…I will be returning it immediately…Also, most of the store made items had sell be dates for 3/14-3/16 (expired) today is 3/18. Got some store made potatoe salad, and it also had a sour taste… When asking the staff about items, customer reviews which a lot of larger market staff could normally recommend “ Do you sell a lot of these, items” Have any customers, rated this/that…With this being a smaller market you’d think people would be more personable… Every question, response was “I don’t know”!! I was not impressed with the quality of food, or the prices, or services … Won’t be returning, after my returns..Only positive .. the...
