Central Bank — Local services in Springfield

Hands down the worst bank in the area. I have been a Central customer for many years at this point, I have a total of 3 accounts. Recently I opened a Business account so that I could transfer my business funds to my personal accounts. This was made VERY clear to the lady helping us set up the account. Not only did it take almost 3 hours to set up the account, she forgot a signature on the form for the online access. So I had to go back and sign that days later when it was caught. Then over a month after we opened the account my online access was completely deleted by Central bank. When I called to see why it was because she never turned in the form! That she made me come back t sign. I was told I’d have to call every week to transfer the money or come back in and redo all of the paperwork. Now, I’ve called 6 times within the past two days and no one picks up their phone. At this point we will be closing all accounts...

I stopped by yesterday afternoon to exchange presorted quarters dimes nickels $30/15/6 I was flat out refused the opportunity to exchange my currency. They said if I don’t have an account they cant exchange. Since when does a bank require an account deposit instead of exchange for legal tender? Seriously? I am disgusted with how this bank ( 2 representatives) flat out denied currency exchange. I actually had an account with them for 17 years. Never will i bank with this bank ever again after thIs incident. Seriously, I'm doing you a favor by giving my coins to help during this “shortage” and the central bank of ozark denied me. So i took my change to mid Missouri and no problem, no questions asked, just accepted with a smile and a thank you. Great people...

Small town bank feel with Big bank technology!!! We (commercial and personal) opened several accounts after this location opened up. -- They made a lot of promises and have delivered on each and every one of them. We are very happy with this bank. There are many reasons why we are happy to SWITCHED to this bank. We look forward to a long relationship with them.
