Lakeview Mercantile and Gardens — Local services in Spruce Pine

I absolutely love this place! My latest purchase is a Rattlesnake Master. It is a native plant, and Lakeview is the only place I've found them! I never leave disappointed. UPDATE: When you go, be aware that the price on your plant may not be what you pay at the register. I left very disappointed in the staff member who said that "the girls got ahead of themselves and that's not $10 (as it was marked) it's $16. I reminded her that it's marked $10. At the register, the cashier was appropriately going to charge the marked price. The individual who said no, it's $16 must have followed me to the register and had the cashier ring up $16. I should have left everything where it sat and left the building. I paid the extra $6 and left, most likely for good. I've purchased a lot of plants and other items for MANY years and drive from Tennessee to do so. I've recommended this place to family and friends as well and they have made the trip to Spruce Pine based on my recommendation. This is not a good example of customer service. My sister and I stopped in Lakeview Mercantile yesterday. The merchandise selections are truly unique. We love the opportunity to buy locally made items as well as other items. However, it was a blessing to talk with such genuinely loving, kind, and happy lady's. This visit made our day, plus we came away with lots of unique Christmas gifts....
