Absolutely the worst BBQ I have had in a long time, they did not even bother to drain all the grease off. The potato salad was nothing but potatoes and mayonnaise. Maybe some of their other food is good but I would not recommend the barbecue. Update: After I left the restaurant, I looked at my ticket and found a very interesting description of myself. I was described as a black round guy. I am far from that I am a relatively thin white person. When I commented to the waitress about the barbecue being greasy and not very good, a person at the table next to me said they had barbecue as well. I asked them if theirs was covered in grease, she said she didn't know, she had a barbecue sandwich. I'm really starting to wonder if my description had anything to do with the bad food I was served. This is a small town and I think this place is more geared towards the locals and don't much care for outsiders.

A real homey and warm atmosphere. You could either sit outside by a fire or indoors. It was to cold, so we sat inside. I noticed the bar had several local brews on tap. My wife had the Philly Cheese Chicken Sandwich with Hushpuppies and I had the Fish and Chips. The fish was fried perfectly, and the home fries were incredible. I was able to have some of my wife's Hushpuppies. They were incredible. We are definitely going back. They also have live music nights that we are interested in as well. I need to go back to sample the beer. If you are coming through or near Spruce Pine, you need to stop. Great food fairly priced. Enjoy!

Absolutely awesome place to stop for lunch. Recommended to us be one of the nearby residents. Started out life as just a drive-in, but has recently expanded to include a small bar/inside seating area. Food was excellent and service was really good too. One of the odd aspects of the setup is that the waitstaff have to go outside to the other building to put in orders and pick up food. The building is not the most well-insulated, because even in April it was pretty chilly. But between a wood stove and other heaters, it was warm enough. Just a very cool, unique place to eat. Will worth the trip.

We thought the prices were too high for the amount of food you get. The tomatoes were fresh, salad was good, and shrimp Quesdilla was tasty but needed more shrimp for the price. Crab cake was soggy & bland. Waitress was so so. The fry cook girl was Very helpful. She'd make a good waitress!! Super kind & hard worker (had red hair in a bun) way better than our server in our opinion (dark long hair). The flounder sandwich was not enough fish for cost. Side winder fries good too. The BBQ sandwich was ok. Good portion but bun was completely soaked had to throw out the bun 100% maybe serve meatless or toast bun. Kids meal good. Think best thing was the outside atmosphere, garden area & view. We sat outside on picnic area. Had to ask for napkins ketchup to go boxes lids for the Styrofoam cups. Meals was 137$ I think we will go again if is late & other places are closed. But the indoor work crew should change places w the outdoor employees for few days to get an idea. Our fry girl helper was...

It took us 15 minutes to place a call in order. Not 15 minutes wait before they took our, it took 15 minutes for her to enter our order into the system. We were told it would be a 30 min wait, which was fine with us. It actually took an hour. We were missing one entire dish which never made it onto the order and out of the 4 dishes we DID get only one was correct. To top it all off I found a hair in my take-out container. I'll have to be very hungry and very desperate to go back. *EDIT - I decided I'd give it another go, for lunch this time, as I was on this side of town and options are limited. Service was fast, food was really good. It's a drive-through connected to a bar. I've never eaten inside so can't comment on the atmosphere. My advice, if you get someone on the phone who sounds like they know what they're doing you're probably gonna get some pretty decent food. If you have issues with the phone person probably best to seek...
