Hired Whitson to repair the generator in our house. It took months for them to come out to get our generator to work but it never did work. I called them back to let them know our generator was still not working and it took them another few months to come out and still it does not work. I told them I would not pay them for their services until the generator was working. I relied on them to get our generator operating and here we are post Helene with no power and a non working generator. My Generac home generator was not operating properly. The service man was pleasant and changed out the 200 amp circuit breaker. Next day the problem re-appeared. The service man said it must be the control panel on the generator. He said the office would call me with a price. They didn't so I called Generac and they took care of it. Replaced the control panel,all good now. THEN, I received the invoice and they charged $378 for just the circuit breaker. That is double what I found from their competitors as a cost. They will refuse to give you an appointment and say you’ll get the “first one available”. Then when they leave you hanging in a cold house for SIX WEEKS, they will say “we tried to call and couldn’t get you so we cancelled the order”.
