Spencer's — Local services in St. Cloud

Was there last week and holy cow. It looks like it got raided or something. There is trash and product all over the floor. Cardboard boxes stacked and toppled over in the middle of the store. Displays were a disaster with product either have fallen off or laying on the ground. I would not be surprised if people just walk in grab something and leave because the employees that were there did not care at all. I walked up to the counter with one item and I looked the employee sitting there dead in the eye and she went back to playing on her phone. Another girl walked up on her phone barely said two words to me and was on Snapchat the whole time I was checking out. I use to love shopping at Spencer’s whenever I’d come to St. Cloud but now with the store being ran that way I’m just gonna stick to hot topic from now on. Unless management comes in and straightens...

My son and I went into Spencer's to do a bit of shopping today around noon, because we love the adverisity of products this store sells! However, with the holidays, the store was a bit disorganized and clustered with customers. When we located the check out area, a couple said they'd been waiting for a cashier to show up for 30 minutes. Previously, I had noticed two girls chatting in a back room so I walked back to them and told them they had a line of customers waiting to check out.

This review is NOT about the store but its employees. The cashier was not presentable and seemed very disinterested in doing her job, let alone understanding customer service.

There is no place to walk, unless you want to jump over boxes. You have to dig through unopened boxes if you want certain product. There are multiple opened box cutters sitting on top of boxes in the middle of the store. there is trash all over; including broken hangers, and tags. Multiple safety hazards. I witnessed other customers tripping over unopened boxes sitting on the sales floor. It is more than a "messy store", it is a safety hazard and embarrassment to the mall that the store is located in. The fact that all staff members were sitting behind the counter on their phone while the store was in that condition tells me that the management and staff have no regard for the safety or satisfaction...
