The worst experience ever. They tried to trick us into signing up for a credit card by wording it as "let's see what you can get approved for so we can better determine your budget". We thought we would get an estimate on how much we could get approved for. After ALMOST completing the iPad form, we realized it said 'credit card application' at the top. We asked if it was for a credit card and got a shy "Yea" back. We told them we did not want a credit card, and after being told that JoAnn pressed the 'Submit' button. I honestly couldn't believe she tried to do that when we said no. The only thing that stopped her from completing the form was that we never checked the terms and agreement box. (Note: other reviews say they had this SAME experience!!!)
Not only did SHE try to submit our credit card form after we CLEARLY said NO (multiple times), JoAnn was also pushy with trying to sell anything, even though we made it very clear we had just started looking and we're not going to buy anything off the bat. We were told multiple times that the rings were one of a kind and we should put 10% down to reserve them even though there were many others that looked just like it. The manager was even near while all this was happening and I am shocked they allow this type of lying and luring behavior. Won't be coming back here ever.
Ps: Kuerkow was so friendly and was super helpful! He was very personable and pleasant to talk with. If you choose to shop here, we recommend seeing him first!

Read moreZero stars. We got my engagement ring resized here and deeply regret doing so. Resized it from a 7.5 to 6.5. Two months later it broke. We called ahead to ask what could be done, and explained the ring was passed down to us and meant a lot. Noted we would bring it elsewhere to be fixed. Just wanted a refund. They said they could do so. My fiance and I walk in today, after calling ahead, and introduced ourselves. The employee said she would not honor what was told to us earlier in the day, and that she “was the manager”. She said no refund can be issued, and she can give us coupons for half the amount. She was incredibly unprofessional, non apologetic and straight up rude. She said they would fix it if we wanted and I told her I did not trust her to do so. I also asked that next time she lead with an apology and some semblance of care. She simply smirked and rolled her eyes after handing us coupons. Went across the way to Kay and they were remarkably kind, understanding and generous. They got our business.
Edit- was offered a $150 Amex gift card and cash refund of $60. Went in to get both, and left with the cash refund only. The manager was out of town and staff “didn’t know how to give a gift card.”
Just an embarrassing place...
Read moreI went in looking for an engagement ring. The staff was nice enough at first as we filtered through the options. Once we got it narrowed down I let them know I would like to check a couple more stores first before I made my decision. The salesman (I believe he was the manager) started getting pushy. He insisted “let’s see how much we can get you preapproved for on a line of credit” and “buy the ring now and if you find something better somewhere else we can return it”. He also kept reminding me that Helzberg is owned by Warren Buffet, giving off a real “do you know who my dad is” kind of vibe. I did consent to SEE how much I could get approved for, but never to actually open up a line of credit through them. I had also mentioned I was trying to keep this a secret from my girlfriend. A week later I get a letter in the mail with a giant HELBERG DIAMONDS across the front of the envelope, which my girlfriend saw. When I opened the envelope there was a letter listing the details about my new Helzberg Diamonds private account, although I never bought a ring from them or asked to open a line of credit. I am very unimpressed by Helzberg after this experience and will not be shopping...
